Harbaugh getting DRAGGED in the media today

Submitted by jamesjosephharbaugh on

Just google search for “Harbaugh” and watch the arrows fly. Maybe it’s deserved, maybe it’s hot takes. But it’s everywhere

The one that stood out to me was Yahoo Sports saying this feels like the beginning of the end for Harbaugh.

Ok, I'm a Buckeye fan that's quietly enjoyed your forum for years. Not so much this current format, but whatever. I enjoy the discussions and insight you provide about your program, so I'm not here to troll.

As an outsider looking in it seems like there's something more going on with JH. Where has the intensity gone? Where's the passion? Watching his interviews and his demeanor in games it almost feels as if his mind is on something greater than football. I won't speculate on what that might be, if anything, but it seems like something is wrong.

When JH was hired the thing I feared the most was his intensity in recruiting. That intensity has declined from years 1 & 2. Why?

In my opinion I don't think Harbaugh you hired is the Harbaugh you have today. Maybe there's something more going on; maybe, as I've read here, he's just collecting a check; or maybe he has his sights set on the NFL . I surely don't know but I understand your frustration.

I don't understand all the NFL chatter. Surely he can't be that hot of a commodity right now.

I agree 100% with your assessment. The Harbaugh we have now seems neutered compared to the Harbaugh we saw in 2015/2016. Those seasons weren't perfect, but there was still a sense that we'd be on to bigger and better things in the near future, and our fiery and passionate coach would be leading the charge. It's like he bought into the media narrative of him being a crazy guy and wanted to change his image, but he lost his identity in doing so.

Parley, I appreciate your level headed comments as a rival fan. Nothing is worse than rival fans coming on to our forum and talking trash.

You may be on to something with JH, because he does not seem to be the same coach we hired over 3 years ago. I don't know what is going on behind the scenes, but I can say that every M fan had super high hopes of what JH could do with the football program.

I am not giving up hope, however I am beginning to wonder if we will ever see the type of success that just about every M fan envisioned when JH was hired.

I appreciate your level headed comments too.  More of us should be this way.

Other threads are touching on this topic.  Someone below used the term “neutered” which is accurate.  Something is going on away from football, but let’s face it, there’s not much life away from football.  Perhaps it’s something medical. He was on TRT when he came in and now he’s not?  Is he on an anti anxiety/anti depressant med now?  It seems something along that line.  Definitely not the same guy

What’s your point? Its clearly all justified at this point until he can prove otherwise. There’s no more safe harbor from even “real” Michigan fans at this point. If you’re still an apologist at this point then you haven’t been watching the program. It’s enough with equivocation and excuses. There has been plenty of time to to prove he can have the impact needed on this program to develop a winner. He’s got a few months to show what his work has accomplished.

If your still defending harbaugh at this point I kindly ask you to drive off a cliff. I said it back in March and I got negged so many times for it. This is his last chance to win back the fan base. He still has all our goals in front of us. Beat MSU and OSU and everything will be fine. Unfortunately at this point I don’t think we have a chance against either team

I'd like to thank Harbaugh, because if we weren't this pathetic, I'd be wasting more Saturdays in my short time on Earth.

Instead of watching us beat up on a crap Western team and listen to every say all is saved, I'm gonna take my family hiking.

10 years of terrible O-line recruiting.  Even the 'great' classes of that period were short of O-line talent.  Well, here we are.

I know, 'all our goals are still in front of us' or 'wait till next year'.

You can find-and-replace "Harbaugh" with "Kelly" in this entire thread, and that's exactly the reaction there would have been if Michigan won and ND lost.

Some coach was going to get  DRAGGED no matter what.

There is a door over there, don't let it hit you in the butt on the way out.  These hot takes about coach are garbage.  We are NOT going to get a coach better than him.  All of you so called fans needs to get it through your heads, and if you do run him out of town you are going to continue this cycle which is why the o line has been so grappling the first place.
