Lance Dixon does NOT cancel visit to Michigan -- because he didn't have one set up to begin with

Submitted by Gentleman Squirrels on

I've been really confused ever since Bluey started that board post that Dixon was cancelling his OV to Michigan because there were absolutely no insiders corroborating that story on twitter. Last night Dixon cleared it up himself by saying that he never had an OV to start with:

When did I have an official to Michigan setup? https://t.co/rrTnrzklYt

He may not have Michigan as his leader and maybe he's not coming to Michigan next weekend. But at least lets get our facts straight that he's not cancelling his OV and disregarding Michigan completely hereafter. He's an excellent player and the most natural VIPER(!) prospect we are recruiting. I expect Don Brown and co to put the full court press on him until he signs. And even if he commits to Penn State, it wouldn't be the first time we stole a Michigan player back from them (LaVert Hill and Quinn Nordin).

Firm believer in not feeding the trolls. All it does is bring tons of other people down with that ship. It's shocking to see how serious people actually take this. Oh, I know I hardly post.. I mostly just lurk in the darkness reading the awesome content on this site. But I rarely get into the debate. Never know when someone goes off the deep end. Anowho, I just suggest to try to ignore to the best of the ability to. I know it will take such tremendous inner strength to just not.. comment.

Dangy.. some of these arguments continuing in these posts (or anywhere you can possibly comment)between “UofM” Fans are getting crazy personal. No such thing as topic discussion anymore right? No disrespect to any of my fellow Michigan Fans. Not pointing or singling anyone out. But having to click through pages of others arguments just to get more content of the topic is getting kinda old lol

Ann Arbor is a great college and livable town.... This is a big advantage.... As is the education....   And the football program is historic and quite good.  So, those who don't want to consider to come here, well,....

Hopefully we can get him on campus for the PSU game and when we spank (and he sees Hudson knifing through making plays behind the LOS) them he changes his tune.

UPDATE from Lorenz:

Claiming a visit wasn't "scheduled" is semantics. The 22nd is the date that was originally discussed and he was originally planning to make that visit as he told Allen at Grand Valley less than three weeks ago. He is now not making that visit. It's not complicated or dramatic.
