Thoughts on the game and will we beat Iowa?

Their D looks tough, will be a VERY tough game.

yeah!

I think @Iowa is going to be tough. If the weather cooperates and there is no rain, then I think that helps this offense. I wouldn't read too much into the Ark St. score, though Iowa has show a propensity to play up against PSU and not be the same team against other opponents. I think this might be a loss, but who knows. I thought today's game was going to be a blowout entering the 4th quarter, and we all saw how that played out.
The offense must get better this week, and hopefully the defense can continue to play reasonably well.

Honestly I think we got a real good chance. It's time to rebound and make a statement!
(And remember... this was Michigan's first away game of the season.)

Iowa is scary. Didn't watch today's Iowa game but I read somewhere that there hasn't been a rushing TD against Iowa since Penn State last year, but I don't know if that's still true today. Judging from our run game today, next week will be tough.

Yeah. They haven't given up a rushing TD all year. Losing 2 in a row would suck.

If our O-line plays like today....sigh* No chance!

Our offensive line was dominated today. Tate rarely had time in the first few quarters and there were always multiple guys shedding blocks or going unblocked to our ballcarriers. Iowa's D line is considerably better than MSU's. We're not going to win next week unless they can block much better than they did this week.

I think we can. It's going to be pretty tough though since it's an away game, at night, against a ranked big ten opponent.. that's never easy. I think they have a nasty taste in their mouths now after losing to State, hopefully we can get a big win in Iowa City next week.
Also, since I'm a pretty superstitious gal when it comes to football.. I just want to say I've been wearing shoelaces everyday since kickoff on day 1, and since I forgot to wear them the other day, and we just so happened to lose today, I apologize. Just know I'll be wearing them all week this week and will be looking for a win at Iowa! Go Blue!

No, no, don't blame yourself. I'm the one who screwed up. I've been watching all of our games so far in Florida, and I came up north for a visit, and ... well ...

Michigan should have won today, but the offense showed up 54 minutes too late, and the rushing game took the day off.
That "cramming for exams" approach by Michigan's offense with 6 minutes left to play will probably be unsuccessful against Iowa too.
Better to get up with a lead early and then grind them down.
But this year's UM team simply doesn't play football that way.

may've not looked good today, but last week they went on the road at night to beat PSU, and next week they have us at home at night.
i believe we can win, but i won't put too much into their performance this week.

This game will be extremely difficult for UM. If UM can get Minor & Brown going then they'll have a good chance to beat them. Iowa has looked good/awful this year. It depends on which of their teams shows up. IME, as long as Tate's at QB, UM will always have a chance to win the game.

Losing him hurt more than expected

if they play as well as they did against PSU it will be a really tough game. their D-Line and big and moves fast.

They lost a close one to the Irish last week and they were currently 1-3 and losing the first of the season to Central just killed them until today. They were looking for redemption and were going to stand in their field and fight till the end. This is the glory of a rivalry game. I however don't see it as an upset. Were only 22nd thats pretty low and we were expected to lose some games this year and it happened. I wouldn't call it an upset. If we were in the top 15 yes it would have been.

...two words: Hell and No.
If we were at home, then maybe, but not on the road. And not against Iowa. They're pretty good. Ark St. was your classic let down game, and a crappy game was to be expected.
