For lovers of nuance: Signage around Michigan Stadium (not about ads)
Since the latest upgrades to Michigan Stadium, I continue to hunt and peck around the ‘net for tidbits regarding some of the processes that went into the $226 million “facelift” and came across this interesting piece on who and how the new signs and wayfinding were made, including the shields that outline the lower concourse.
I found enjoyable that the name of the company used to produce the graphics was 'Harmon Sign.' How apropos.
Enjoy!

Name . . . good!
Location . . . bad

Lots of nuance on the renovation but not sign related.

Gowd dammit, I meant to label that "insightful."

I thought this would be about advertising. Thank goodness it's signs about Michigan and not signs about McDonalds.
Yes my first thought was about advertising too. I panicked for a minute there. Nice find, I enjoyed the article. When I was working for MSU we used Souce One and Harmon for the new College of Human Medicine building in GR.
I enjoyed this piece from a professional and personal point of view. Professionally, what the University has accomplished with Michigan Stadium and Crisler is really amazing. Crisler was a dump when I was in school (late 80's) and is now an elite facility.
The upgrades ot Michigan Stadium are beautiful, modern and compliment the existing architecture.
Money well spent.
