North Quad Floods - Big time
For those interested in the University proper, North Quad yesterday had a fire suppression pipe go and seriously flooded a floor and leaked into another. Badly enough they needed to be evacuated.

And the University's "huh, wha happen?"

Be interesting to hear from people on here who might have been displaced by the problems there. Wouldn't expect this out of the newest, fanciest dorm (and one of the newest buidlings) on campus. I imagine I would be kind of pissed. Especially in this age of electronics.

Wow, saw this on the front page of reddit. Didn't know it was Michigan. Sucks for the students...

I walked past Rackham yesterday around 11:30 am and saw that North Quad was closed. All the classes were cancelled, but the dining hall was unaffected so I ate there.
Anyone remember 6th Bush flooding in December 2004? Lloyd Carr even showed up to the whole thing.
was really wet?

Hope these kids' parents have homeowner's insurance, or that they thought to get renter's insurance.
More like serene waterfall...
