On a related matter, I knew my girlfriend was wife material when she agreed to plan our wedding around Michigan's Football Schedule.

If you get married in Ann Arbor, you have no choice. My fiancee was not happy about it, but I made her agree to it and then the church backed me up when they said they won't do marriages during home games.

After I slipped away from a wedding a few years ago to catch the score of the Michigan game, my girlfriend asked me to promise not to sneak off to check football scores at our own wedding. I promised not to as long as the wedding wasn't during football season. We're getting married in May.

A couple of years ago I was a the Wedding of a big Michigan fan - on a game day. The reception was during the game and I was able to listen to the end *thanks to WJR that won't happen anymore* in anycase Michigan and when I went to give the score the bride who in all fairness tolerated his insanity made sure I had good news before I could pass on the score.
I should also mention the wedding party entered to The Victors.

I went to a Gator family wedding last year during the UF-FSU game. Apparently the first thing the bride said when the ceremony was over is "What's the score?" Meanwhile, people kept getting up to check the score during the ceremony. (In all fairness, though, it was an Indian wedding, where getting up/talking/passing plates of food is not at all uncommon.)

I was married September 20 last year, the bye week between the ND and Wisconsin games.
Also, the wife agreed on a smaller wedding cake so I could have a groom's cake at the wedding, which is my avatar picture.

mis-labeled. I see no information on the OMGSCANDAL here.
Please amend.

add "I want to make sure I get you a hummer and a beer before kickoff" and she would truly be the perfect wife!

My thoughts exactly.

the Western Michigan game, but when I mentioned I was thinking of taking our son, she got that silent 'that's okay' mentality. That was a couple days ago; today, she looks at me in this unusual way- like the lead girl on 'The Closer', I told her- and I say why are you looking at me like that!? Eventually she kicks her foot, like she's booting something imaginary. I just shook my head confused and she says, 'I can't believe you kicked me to the curb like that'.
Holy cow!

wants to get there several hours early so we can tailgate with friends and have the proper buzz on. She rocks.
I'll be in the running for Dad of the Year when I'm throwing balls for my little man with a Molson in my hand.
Love you baby.
