I dig it. The black stripe on purple doesn't work too great because of a lack of contrast, but the stripe is distinct and unique. Nice to see that UnderArmour could go for a more stripped down and simple design rather than going all Maryland on all their unis.

Oldest brother played for Northwestern back in the 70's and they are my second favorite school.   The helmet and pants are fine, but the mid-drif stripe is dog meat.  Looks like a cheerleader outfit.   N-western would do better to bring back the better versions of their 70's unis.   My .02.

Northwestern is also my second team (I grew up in Evanston) I liked their 1995 Jerseys the best, I haven't been too fond of the ones that have followed. I have been meaning to buy a jersey the last decade, but I just don't like any of them. I won't buy this jersey either, but I'll reserve judgement on how they look on players until I see them on the field.

Those look like a terrible 1980s sweater. I also wonder if the stripe will make reading uniform numbers difficult from a distance and on TV.

So crappy, what about tradition? Their helmet alone tells you it is Northwestern! Please play Purple Rain when they go on the field.

How can you not like it? They're distinct and traditional. They're perfect. It's something Michigan, PSU or Alabama would never get away with...yet it's not Oregon or Maryland.

I love it.
