Brutal TV coverage
I had the misfortune of having to watch this one on TV I know it's easy for commentators to side with the underdog, but today was just ridiculous. Miami committed one turnover, three penalties, and dropped a couple of passes. In other words, they turned in a pretty typical performance. But to hear Pasch and Ware bitch about it, you'd have thought it was some historically sloppy performance ("It's not Michigan who's beating them."). Miami got its own "real time on the field" clock whenever it was on defense, while we never got that (even though our defense was on the field longer than theirs was). They went on and on about the "turmoil" surrounding our program (losing a recruiting battle constitutes turmoil?).
And then the kicker was a little bit they did on "the state of Michigan feeling the blues" or something. They mentioned GM closing plants, UM and MSU's season-opening losses, the Tigers' record this year and the Lions' playoff drought. Strangely, they mentioned nothing about the local NHL or NBA teams. Assholes. (I guess the state of Ohio is enjoying great economic and sports success?)

That really got on my nerves as well.

The in-game announcing was pretty awful, but the bit trashing Michigan was clearly conceived and produced by human scum. It was especially convenient how they completely ignored the Pistons' recent success and the Red Wings' GD STANLEY CUP WIN.

They forgot to mention that we have had a championship caliber team in Detroit for my entire lifetime. Red Wings, Pistons, or Tigers are always alternatingly competetive. Lions, well ok but that is partially Andre Ware's fault in the first place. They should have had a section on how they drafted Ware in the top ten of the first round and how he couldn't unseat Rodney Peete.

While I agree with most of what you said, you can't deny this has been a very turmoily year.

He talks and talks and talks and nothing comes out. "That's a tough one for Michigan." or "Gosh, tough break for Miami" (when their QB got absolutely SMOKED). It's one fucking "duh" comment after another.
We need Fred Willard from Best in Show doing college football.

Minnesota @ Bowling Green. Seriously, the color commentator had to be mentally retarded. The play by play guy was alright, but yeah, his partner was so bad I swear the play by play guy was going to jump out the window to his death. It also didn't help that it was Minnesota vs Bowling Green.
The FoxSports guys doing the Louisiana Tech vs Kansas game were probably the best I heard all day.
