We seem to come up big on 3rd down
I was looking at the stats for the game, and one stood out to me: 3rd down conversions.
We were 14-17, and 1-1 on 4th, while we held NW to 4-11, and 0-2 on 4th (with another big time stop on a 4th and short run). This has been happening enough to constitute a trend, and I just wanted to say that the coachs' emphasis on short yardage situations seems to be paying off.
We are currently 3rd nationally on 3rd down on offense, and 17th in the red zone. On defense, we are in the 40s on 3rd down, #4 on 4th down, and #2 in the red zone. Just thought I would share.

having Denard makes us borderline impossible to defend on 3rd and less than 3. Those QB draws seem to be impossible to defend even though everyone in the stadium knows it's coming

46% and in the top 30ish.
But 57% is right up there with UW, Ga Tech and OK State.
Borges makes a huge difference, and he really hasn't unleashed everything yet.
Michigan remains a rushing team though. 7th in the country after 6 games is pretty nice work.
But UM's schedule only gets tougher from here on out.

1 yard is automatic with Denard, I don't care where we are on the field.

Though, I'd like to see this form continue against our upcoming opponents.
