Thank God I have BTN - greatest channel ever. I would rather watch games on ESPN or ABC for the better quality and hype though. Oh well - we will get MSU, osu, Nebraska (maybe Illinois) on ABC.

I think Iowa is pretty likely too for ESPN

hope this is over at 2ish.

I have to go to a wedding in Adrian at 4:30. I'll never understand why anyone would get married during football season.
As far as BTN goes, most of their announcers are aboring and poorly informed. The guys on Saturday were turrible.
If they want to hype up a game, just have Gus Johnson do it. Those BWW commericals with the sprinklers on the field are priceless with his voice. He could make watching paint dry sound exciting. Does he even work for BTN anymore?

Is Northwestern on BTN?
September 19th, 2011 at 12:39 PM ^
I was wondering the same thing. The schedule at mgoblue.com still has it as TBA, but there was a press release in May saying it would definitely be on the BTN. It also appears on both Northwestern's schedule and the BTN's own schedule as BTN.

Can we get better commentators this time?

I hate getting up early.

The Michigan game was on the BTN Overflow channel in Kentucky this weekend, which was zoomed in and couldn't see the edges of the screen. You could only see the Michigan score and how many yards were left. One of the most annoying games to watch ever.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:36 PM ^
but that could have been the TV you were viewing, as no network sends a "zoom" picture, but alot of TV's have the option to make stadard def "fill" the screen. If your TV is set to zoom then it also zooms HD programming too.
I have DISH and B1G Network is a good as espn in HD.

I hate the BTN. I would stop hating them if my cable provider would add them to our channel lineup..
September 19th, 2011 at 1:58 PM ^
Maybe you would hate the Big10 network less if you look at whats going on in the Big12. Direct that hate towards you cable provider.

Wasn't it just a few years ago where each team only had 2 BTN games and now it's at least 4 and potentially 5 if they add the Purdue game. I'm kind of surprised ESPN didn't pick up the UM-SDSU game, two up and coming programs with the obvious Hoke storyline, seems to be a much more enticing matchup than PSU-EMU.
September 19th, 2011 at 1:01 PM ^
Too many Big Ten Network games. Penn State/Temple was on ESPN last week for GOD's sake. You'd think our game with SDSU would be as well.
September 19th, 2011 at 1:04 PM ^
Surprising that ESPN2 picked PSU vs EMU as their noon game, given that they had PSU last week and that SDSU vs. Hoke is a good story.

Thank god the FIOS installer is coming this friday.

You're going to love it!!
September 19th, 2011 at 1:20 PM ^
I don't get the BTN in my area via cable and I can't have a sat dish. It looks like it will be a month of watching UM on the net at ten minutes behind the live game. oh well, better than the radio I guess.
September 19th, 2011 at 1:26 PM ^
Noon games are a pain. Makes tailgating very brief.
September 19th, 2011 at 3:39 PM ^
plus I drive 2+ hours just getting to AA! It just the draw of our schedule. I am guessing that Purdue will be noon, Nebraska at 3:30 and then tsio at noon.
Go Blue!

God, I hate BTN. Horrible commentators, horrible camera work, just horrible all around. We also dont't get BTN in HD out here in California, which makes the experience even worse.
September 19th, 2011 at 7:09 PM ^
Don't forget horrible announcers! Whirrfork is apparently one of our cornerbacks, I haven't heard of him but I guess he's pretty good despite playing with a cast.
September 19th, 2011 at 4:22 PM ^
cool only got to wait 20 hours after my plane lands
September 19th, 2011 at 4:39 PM ^
I love noon games. The later the start, the more nervous I am. I was a mess before the UTL game.
September 19th, 2011 at 5:52 PM ^
Live in remote Alaska. No cable access, no DirectTV, just DISH AND I can only reach their satellite 119, which does NOT carry the BTN. I have begged and pleaded with DISH to put the BTN on that satellite, but they basically tell me "go to hell" as I have no other choices and they know it. They claim that that have no more room on that satellite, but that hasn't stopped them from adding several infomercial channels since I started their service 9 years ago. So, I can never watch a Michigan game on the BTN, but I sure as hell can watch that sham-wow guy 24/7.
