OT: Nick Fairley in Walking Boot
Nick Fairley was injured yesterday and has been in a walking boot. Sorry if this was already posted,I searched and found nothing.
Sports Center said it could be a stress fracture.
I am Fairley certain that is a bad break.
Guess he nicked it pretty bad huh?
You ain't Lion.
we are, how should I say...fairley (ha!) deep at DT.
You forgot to put your sunglasses on.
YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!
Couldn't of happened a nicer guy..
needs to show this video to Jay Cutler
You realize you are in a forum of mostly Detroit fans, right?
Im a Detroit fan as well... But that play (and many of his others) are disgusting and shouldn't exist in football.
I know he's known for questionable antics on the field but leave the door open for an accident on that one. I mean it's very possible that his helmet got snagged.
And yes, there is no place for that kind of thing on the field. However, it's been going on since football began. Probably a whole lot better now that players know that their every move is available on replay from every couch in America.
So you're mad at a guy who, while attempting to sack a QB, accidentally gets his facenask caught in said QB's helmet, and while trying to free himself he cuts the QB? Maybe go watch flag football then...
Such is the life of a Lions fan.
...don't you expect this?
There are numerous options at defensive tackle, so while this sucks for sure, the world does not end, I think.
ftw, man I miss playing super mario bros. 3 on nes so bad...
It disturbs me that 10+ years after I last played a video game, I still know that that's from world 5-3 in Super Mario Bros 3.
This is not a big deal. Reportedly, x-rays are negative on bone breakage. Don't think this is going to be serious.
I don't even know why I pretend to think all of our players won't be injured by week 6.
He passed by Rich Rod this weekend at an airport and Rod wished him good luck this year......DA DOOMED...
that all Lions fans are not considering right now. That fact is that everything is going to go wrong from here until about week 10 in the NFL season. Once it is clear there will be no playoffs, that next year will have to be THE YEAR, things will settle down with a backup quarterback replacing the injured Stafford and what is left of the injury plagued defense and get a nice win here and there (blacked out of course). But until that point of insignificance, there will be much heartbreak, much injury, and much of all of that bad Lions stuff.
Please understand the Lions curse is a real thing, it hurts people, it eats people, it destroys people. It hasn't miraculously gone away or decided not to be a curse any more. It is ready pounce on unsuspecting prey and ruin another season.
Today Fairley, tomorrow...........?
Signed
Lions fan that will not actually believe anything good can or will happen until it actually happens.
Stress fractures don't always show up on x-rays, but the fact that the x-ray came back negative. If it is a stress fracture then I'm assuming it's a minor one (since it didn't show up on the x-ray) and that would set him back just a few weeks (3-5 I'd guess, unless it's more severe). Not ideal, but not the end of the world either.
Start walkin...
I don't think it was practice related .. he appeared to injure himself on this dive. Notice the way his foot rolled off the side of the pool.
