i believe hoke is displaying another level of genius by letting recruits visit other schools...particularly ALA. he knows coach satan is leaving for the NFL..so no worry about OUR recruits switching commitments...howeva all the alabama recruits will be ripe for the picking!
I share your sentiment about our kids being future students at our alma mater. We currently live in sunny las vegas and dont really get back to A2 as often as we would like. But being that my kids are tennis players we are taking advantage of the summer tennis camps offered on campus. They are still young (not in high school) but we feel that exposing them to the rich campus tradition of U of M will hopefully have a positive effect in the future.
as loyal michigan fans we should all want someone who bleeds maize n blue. Hoke is the best, most tradition-understanding choice! Hes someone who considers this a destination job.
hello..i happen to have been living in vegas for the past 10 years but grew up entirely in michigan. the BTN is a blessing because you are not handcuffed to be in a casino to hopefully catch the game. michigan games are not always easy to find televised in a casino. vegas is decidedly USC territory and it can get really annoying in the sportsbook as a wolverine. we love it here...the weather..no taxes...games end early so you have the rest of the day free...having said that, i am taking my 10 y/o son to his first michigan game this season!
I too am a life long michigan fan and have given lloyd my fair share of criticism but i cant fault him for always being a better person than his contemporaries. i have tkts for a game in ann arbor this fall to which i am taking my 10 year-old son for the first time. this story gives me inspiration that i may have a similiar experience with him. GO BLUE!
