I confirmed that with his dad today. His dad said as far as he understands he'll be able to play right away, rather than redshirting. He may redshirt anyway because he's a freshman, but they think he'll have instant eligibility.
Kalis said via text that he just tweaked his knee, his teammate Tyler Orlosky rolled up on him while he was driving his guy. He said he'll be back in a few days.
I don't know who reported that but that was never the case. Garnett actually told me early on that he thought Zach was looking for different things in a school than he was. They were never a package deal. Garnett said to me that it would be cool if they ended up at the same place, but didn't think it would happen.
Not too cryptic though, I just think Michigan has a chance. He told me a few things off the record so we'll see.
He is still planning to visit for the ND game.
He told me that Penn State is in there too, but ya know, the third team in a top two probably isn't in great shape.
I know there have been rumors about Cal, but don't discount Michigan here.
Sorry you can't hear me very well on the video, Jake had the microphone. I also missed one of his best catches during practice.
He had a 30 yard over the shoulder catch and I was busy gabbing with his dad on the sidelines. I should have that catch and more highlights soon though.
And just to add, even if something were to happen with Terry (not implying anything), it's my understanding that they would look to fill that spot with another corner. It has more to do with the current roster.
Obviously that can change, especially if the numbers don't add up, but that's the thinking right now.
Mrs. Diamond was taking Jordan's teammates around with Jordan to different schools and they recently stopped by Eastern for his teammates. It's right next door so they probably stopped by to say hi to Chris.
There's nothing wrong with Bryant, he's just good friends with the Diamond family.
I've said multiple times that this has nothing to do with Terry. They want another corner in addition to Terry and Anthony. This also isn't because Standifer projects to safety. They want another corner.
Yeah, he has interest in Michigan. I didn't get to talk to him last night though. I was out there for their practice but it started raining pretty hard and there was lightning right above us so everyone scattered pretty quickly. It's monsoon season here right now.
I don't know why everyone is debating what this decision has to do with. Armani said in the interview why they want another corner. That's why, not because of anything that has to do with Standifer or Richardson.
There is potential for some more names to come in the picture I suppose. I know they really like Armani, but if they're looking for an elite corner they will probably talk to a few prospects.
There's a big difference between the two you're talking about. Sione Houma is 5 foot 11, 210 pounds where as Wyatt has about 4 inches and almost 40 pounds on him.
Wyatt is also only 15 years old, where Sione is probably around 17.
Just to sum up what the Elmers are looking for, they're looking for the right school for Steven. They want to make sure the other stuff outside of the football program is right for him, that's why I say school.
They are very interested in Michigan, and given the proximity to home have been able to visit a little more frequently. They also have interest in other programs though like Wisconsin and Notre Dame, which they will be visiting this weekend. They'll also make it out to Lansing for a Michigan State game.
They're willing to do what it takes to make sure Steven finds the right fit and the right place for him. They ultimately want him to be comfortable and to feel like he's a part of his environment. They're ok with it if it takes awhile, because they want to get it right.
Steven is very capable of doing an interview, and I'll eventually have him talk about everything. I'm the one that contacts Mr. Elmer so it's me that's putting him on here. It's not like he asks to do the interview, it's my choice.
Someone at the BBQ sent me a text that said Coach Hoke gave an emotional speech after watching a highlight video from the past and present. It got the kids and families all fired up apparently.
I don't think they'll get offered today either, but I'm not sure. Reschke was just offered by MSU, so there's a chance they might offer too. I'm under the impression it's more meet and greet as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they did throw Reschke an offer out afterwards though.
I normally don't do that, but it's been all over the board that these guys specifically are thinking about doing it, so there's no sense in hiding it. I'm not protecting them from anything, and I said it might happen it might not so it's not a 100% confirmation either way.

Kalis actually blamed himself for the injury. He said he only drove his guy six yards off the ball and Orlosky caught up to him.

He's also really smart. He would be one of my top choices if I could pick an offensive lineman in this class.

I wouldn't argue with that.

I spoke with him earlier today, I'll have his quotes in the Weekly Update on Monday.
No, just defense for now.
Eastern Michigan was a planned stop on the trip for his teammates.

No, I don't think so. They're in to check on Chris Bryant.
I'm supposed to call him tonight.
No, I don't think he meant fans calling. I'm sure he meant analysts calling to ask if he committed, or if he's committing soon.

Just a FWIW, his coaches are pro Big Ten guys too. They like Michigan and the Big Ten teams.

He was very clear on the phone that they want him for defense.
It's the second post on the front page. Unless I'm missing your sarcasm font.

He's been told running back. I think he can do a bit of everything and could hold his own as a running back so it makes sense.
Or like this.....
The 'Y' is more pronounced than the 'J'. It's more Yay-who, if you said it that way it would sound right.
Also if you notice in the interview he says the coaches told him they'll take two receivers.
His first name is pronounced kind of like yay-who with somewhat of a 'J' mixed in, if that makes sense.

Were you?
I guess so, It's been a long day. I have been sitting at my computer all day and I recently broke my computer chair. My replacement is a bar stool.
I'll get a full update from him this week. We exchanged texts today, which is when he told me he wasn't committing.
Someone at the BBQ sent me a text that said Coach Hoke gave an emotional speech after watching a highlight video from the past and present. It got the kids and families all fired up apparently.
ha, I just saw what you meant. This has been a long day, long weekend. I've made a lot of mistakes today.
I changed it for you.
Just another update. Like I said none of this is 100%, but don't be surprised if Wormley waits to make his decision at a later date.
And if it doesn't happen today it doesn't mean it's not happening ever. Just have to see what ends up going down.

Also, just to be clear the word potential is big with all of this. I'm not saying anything's 100%, there's potential.
