Along those lines, what…

Along those lines, what about Jay Larranaga?  He has been on the short list of nearly every NBA coaching search the past few years.  His dad has been a very successful college coach for the past 30 years.  He has spent the past few years as Brad Stevens lead assistant.  And he went to high school at St. John's in Toledo, then BGSU, so he is comfortable with the area.  I admit that I knew him there and will say on a personal level, he is an incredibly good person and someone we would be proud to represent us.

Dropping Some Wine Knowledge

Been in the wine business for almost 20 years, so although I still know about 3% of what is possible about the subject, that is probably 2.99% more than most.  Here are my quick thoughts:

Best Value Red: Still Argentinian Malbecs - Great wines for the cost

Most Undervalued WInes: Washington wines as a whole, but specifically Cab and Merlot.  WA Merlot are not what Americans are used to when they think of Merlot.  WA Merlots are more like Cabs and can/should accompany a great steak.

We are still on the very front end of the Rose trend

I love the Napa Valley and have been there a lot.  Also love their wines.  But Sonoma Wineries - to visit and drink - are less crowded, a better value (most of the time), and still incredibly undervalued

Best Wine on a hot summer day: Still Marlborough region Sauv. Blancs.  Continue to think something will overtake these until you taste another one on your hot porch

Blind Melon is the most underrated band of all time

If No Rain's bumble bee video would not have been made, Blind Melon would not have been a pop phenomena.  People would have realized how incredible songs like Change, Soup, and Tones of Home were.  Before his early death, Shannon Hoon was one of the best frontmen/singers of all time with one of the coolest voices ever.  Just listen to the 3 songs I mention and tell me I'm wrong.
