Inexcusable but this was a good year. I'll start to judge fully once Harbaugh gets his recruits in. Next year we'll probably regress a little but Hokes players will be gone and then we'll basically start fresh.
If he's hurt or not 100%, why should he be playing? And Peppers is far from our best players on defense. We'll miss him on special teams but it's not that big of a deal
Do you see around the CFB landscape commenting on every little thing their CFB coaches are doing?
Maybe he's had conversations privately about all those issues or maybe he hasn't.
Make that up. It's a fact that Judy and Leavitt doesn't get along and that some aspects of the locker room case were blown out of proportion due to conflicting reports and such.
And the fact that Leavitt won his lawsuit just adds to the mystique of what actually happened at USF
Without signing the contract apparently. Still shopping around.
I actually think being the DC at Oregon would be a good choice. Give him a break from being HC for a couple years.
At Oregon situation there as well. USF lost Tom Allen (former DC, now Indiana HC) and Taggart hired his LB coach who had never been a DC before. Terrible move in hindsight, but who knows if he would have improved in Year 2 or 3, same with Hoke.
Been keeping an eye on Taggart ever since USFs bowl game last year. If Oregon gives him time, and shells out big money for a better DC hire, I think he'll do great things for them down the line.
The coaches could be doing the exact same thing with his teammate Kurt Taylor. Not out of the ordinary for contact to start becoming scarce between solschools & recruits. Especially out of state ones.
With Willie Taggarts recruits. Hopefully he can turn Purdue around, but I think he needed a few more years at WKU to see if he could keep improving them long-term.
The committee chairman seemed awkward and uncomfortable about the conference championship questions but was firm about the gap between Washington/Michigan.
I think another key is whether we need Wisconsin or Penn State to win.
Serviceable next year, we should win at least 8 games minimum. We're too talented on offense (skill positions) and the defense really shouldn't have that big of a drop off. There will be growing pains but we will still be pretty talented
Most of his high school life. MSU has been great and this is a down year. His reasonings aren't unusual. Seems like you have a personal issue with the kid for exploring good options.
For the OSU game? I understand the hate for Durkin because it did seem like he checked out and had a bad gameplan but the hatred this blog has for him is absurd. And Harbaugh seemingly gets a pass for that game
Lot to be desired, but the pass defense was decent enough. Too many PI's but that stuff happens every now and then.
Had flashbacks to Indiana during the 2nd half though.
Us letting them score 17 points. I swear it's like you guys think MSU it's devoid of talent. The defense it's obviously playing bad but let's not panic
Checked out, I just think Houston was arrogant after the Oklahoma game and thought they could just waltz through the AAC. They could have lost 3 straight. The Herman knews obviously doesn't help but I don't think that's the major cause
Houston really? Beat a Oklahoma team with a horrid defense and could have lost 3 straight games (Tulsa lost on a goal line stand) so they may have beeb overrated.
On the flipside, UCF was extremely underrated. That offense is special.
