Do we know what Jake Moody's scholarship situation is? I thought I heard he'd been given one. Freep article below sounds like he "committed" with a promise. Wondering if it's really only 3 open slots currently.... probably all comes out in the wash with attrition.
I thought it was an LB too when I was in the stadium. However, it was the Safety who pinched up and found himself way out of position before turning around and running him down.
when I looked at their schedule. They're legit (for FCS). I don't think RR will allow any letdown, but I'll never feel comfortable again playing an FCS team. Any RATIONAL fan wouldn't be worried, but I'm not one of them. Wasn't before Appy St, and definitely not after. Let's hope they come out and score TDs on the first two drives and get two 3-n-outs. Then the fear of DOOOM might lessen.
of a guy working hard for 3 years and emerging as a RS Junior is over. I'd like to see a survey of transfers across the BCS conferences to validate this. I hope to god this isn't UM-centric. I imagine it's a blow to the ego to be "the man" throughout your prep career and then have Barwis, et al scream at you every day for a couple years to work harder and not see the field, but damn, this is disheartening to me.
He'll play a lot against UMass, get all of you amped up, and not see the field again for awhile. These coaches know what they're doing. If he deserved to play, he'd be in there. I've heard waaaaayy too much about him missing assignments and not understanding the offense enough to not be looking for him on Saturdays.
