We should all applaud Ohio State for being the champions of the offseason. Let them puff out their chests and tout the huge stacks of other people's money flooding into their program to buy and retain players. They should take massive amounts of pride in that and they can set on-field expectations at national championship or bust. There is no possibility of anything else, they need to have total confidence that THIS is their year.
If and when they lose when the games are actually played it just makes it that much sweeter.
Congratulations to the young man. Like Dale Chesson and others he may never see the field, but he can still make a contribution to the program. In the era of effectively limitless roster size (thanks NIL!) it never hurts to add another body to a room that's short on them.
Yeah, it was a bummer when FSD dropped off YTV, but I got used to it. Turns out that life goes on without the Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings.
Now if the networks would just move more college football and basketball to the Cock and its equivalents that I refuse to pay for I'll finally be free from paying for TV.
Seems like other than prestige there isn't anything especially notable about being drafted in the last couple rounds. Just about every player of any promise is going to sign a UDFA deal, many with a team of their choosing. A team isn't going to keep a low round draft pick over a UDFA in most cases if the UDFA shows out better.
The Lions did fine. There is definitely a lot of "ask again later" with some of their picks, but they're in a position to take a lottery ticket or two. Excellent value in the CBs and Wingo it would appear.
Good luck to him. Hopefully he's getting paid and he's going to a successful program. I don't know that I would describe Tucson as paradise but hey it's not Columbus or East Lansing.
Any competent QB is going to cost an obscene amount of money, and as such I don't know that there would be a huge trade market for Goff. I think the whole world also recognizes that he needs a line and playmakers -- he's not Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson - which would also depress his market.
Given what the Failcons had to pay to land Kirk Cousins coming off an ACL I'm perfectly fine with the Lions extending Goff.
If I could work out the charging situation, I'd look hard at a Rivian R1S or R1T.
Otherwise, probably a Bronco. I like the look of the 2dr much more than the 4dr, but if I'm getting whatever it'd probably be a 4dr raptor with the hard top.
More realistically in a few years when it's time to trade in my current vehicle I'll look hard at the new Buick Enclave, which looks to be very nice. By then any kinks should be worked out.
Not really a big fan of the black jersey/blue helmet, though. However, seeing it in-game will probably be a massive upgrade than just seeing it in weirdly-lit promotional pics.
The QB talent, frankly, is underwhelming. I respect the accomplishments of C. Williams, Daniels and Maye but none of them are can't-miss prospects.
Similarly, you don't have five monster non-QB talents that are clearly top 5 guys that would push JJ out of that range. I would definitely have MHJ up there, but beyond that, guys are fungible.
I don't have any recommendations because I generally don't buy team gear, but I was certainly underwhelmed by my recent Fanatics experience. Was enticed to look at championship gear by an ad touting a big sale. Checked it out. Decided on a T shirt, was marked way down from a patently ridiculous price to a vaguely tolerable price. Started the checkout process and by the time they added shipping, a handling fee (seriously? A handling fee? In 2024?) and lord knows what else they still wanted forty-odd dollars for a simple T shirt. As a result I am still championship gearless because eff that.
I'd get the MGoShirt but Underground doesn't do tall sizes afaik.

I look forward to Gaching opposing defenses. Smash!
Nailed it. It's entertainment, not sport. Which is great. There is a place for both.
Dusty inventing a new position , the 4 1/2
Sims committed to Arizona State, not that Michigan was ever going to kick the tires on him.
I haven't verified it, but I believe that the student body is larger at GVSU and at Wayne State (both D2 schools) than it is at WMU, CMU or EMU.
That is an incredible list for a D2 uptransfer.

Happy Uno de Mayo to all.
Definitely worth celebrating Dusty May Day.

What's weird about it? Lambert-Smith needed a fat bag. He got one, it just wasn't from Michigan.
I want a Trabant. Not to drive, just to annoy the HOA.
I don't remember reading anything during his recruitment about Michigan being interested, but never say never.
According to twitter UM offered a WR from Youngstown State, but I think he's only 6'0" so not that big.
Bias in the recruiting rankings? Unpossible! S-E-C! S-E-C!
Kicking competency is a good thing. Hail Portal!
Impressive what a slow 40 time at the combine will do to your draft prospects if you're DB.

Every time I think we have reached peak ridiculousness with the Portal, the Portal says "hold my beer".
Walker would be a nice re-addition. I wonder if Ole Miss promised more than they could deliver.
Thank you, this will help fill the void until there is live streaming of college cricket.
The Lions continue their unprecedented streak of competent drafting!
Bang!
Man that last dude is a HATER. LOL at JJ having a low ceiling. What a ridiculous take.
As long as they don't lose Volvo, Les and Bricker we'll be okay.
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind.
Welcome to the new reality.
How many more will there be?

Also notable as the commit Seth has most wanted to land in the entire history of mgoblog.

So you're saying St. Brown is ... / *chef's kiss */?
Agreed!
(this really needed a .gif I know)
Having watched 2023 Iowa it is hard to contemplate the possibility of 2024 Iowa’s passing game being worse. Hill leaving doesn’t really change that.

The concern trolls will be back at it tomorrow. They never take a break for more than a day or two, not even after a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.
Grabbed a burger from Culver’s, dispatched a couple Miller Lites and looking forward to crashing. At least there is a spring game to look forward to.
WE CAN HAS GUARDS??!
... along with your non-working vacuums. Our current turnaround time is approximately 3-9 business days.
+1, exactly this.
Ball State don't lie. Good luck Elise!
I sure hope someone is collecting all the QB receipts here.
There will be more to collect after the Spring Game, I'm sure.
Not a five star QB, do not want
/s
Yeah but it made for a great line in a Stuffing the Passer video.
Boom huel’d
I'm not sure which is harder to understand, English or NCAAese
At least there is google translate for English.
Saw that Holtz signed a deal with the Kalamazoo Wings, nice to see him get a chance.
In this particular draft, yes.

Good news, plenty of parking available this weekend in downtown Detroit!
I would give this many upvotes if I could. Brilliant.

What to do about Jace?
Easy.
LET JACE COOK!
