No I do not think Harbaugh should be fired for poor line play... 1. There's a difference between having to rely on true freshman and true sophomores on the OL vs coaching NFL talent. Harbaugh needs time to recruit OL talent and then development. Can't acquire talent in FA like NFL. (Although the stuff with Ole Miss may make you think otherwise) Also, Harbaugh hasn't proven to be incompetent time and time again. Out coached some times? Sure. Harbaugh > Caldwell. Doesn't take a genius to understand that.
Injuries have hurt the OL which supports my original post that it's not on BQ. He's at least attempting to fix the Lions biggest problem since the beginning of time.
I honestly feel like poor OL play is on coaching. Lang and Wagner played great for the other teams but come to the Lions and the OL play stays below average? That's coaching and poor offensive game planning IMO.
I think BQ has done a decent job considering how terrible the roster was when he got here. Building depth and trying to fix key issues as much as possible. Too many holes to fix in only 2 years.
With decent coaching the lions could be that or better. How many times have the Lions come out sloppy to give a 20 point lead and then come back to barely win or barely lose. Good coaching keeps them out of those sitatuations which means you're not relying on the refs to not screw them over. Falcons games was bad and the refs screwed that game up in my opinion. But again, that was a game where the Lions were trailing and going for a last second win.
If you're in SE Michigan then I would highly recommend Shorty's BBQ in Toledo, OH. I know its not Michigan but its just south of the border and it's sooooooo good.

In all seriousness, I really want to see JBB hold his own against this front. JBB is a mauler and if he can pass protect for peters I think we are in really good shape. Also, Peters has done a good job of make improv plays which gives me a bit of hope. However, if he's running for his life the whole game then we may be in trouble. I have more confidence in peters than I do with the Wisc QB.
I want to see the beefy baconator with Ruiz in as a 6th lineman and Mo Hurst at FB and they hand off to the hammering panda. 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Classic B10 football.
