Vikings just traded up again to take Dallas Turner. JJ will be set-up for success over his entire rookie contract. He’ll win the starting job fairly quickly and should be succesful in Minnesota. I worried about him going a few other places, but with the way the draft fell I believe he’ll have the best career. Daniels and Maye are both doomed. I truly believe Williams will be mediocre because he’s not going to deal with losing well. Penix could carve out a solid career in Atlanta. Nix could be solid but the Broncos have very poor resources over the next few years and a very bad team as-is.
Not surprising, as I mentioned they want a pass rushing specialist. I know you really want them to go after a secondary guy Salvatore, but that’s not the current plan as far as I’ve been told. Unless something else concerning happens with depth at DB or a surprise jumps in the portal, they’ll stick with what they have in the secondary. Now next year or this recruiting class? They’ll load up again most likely 4-6 guys.

Sabb is planning to enter the draft at the end of this season. He wouldn’t have been here in 25 anyways. It shocked me when Moore and Paige both announced they would return and I think it had to shock him a little as well. He was ready to be a full fledged starter and build his draft stock. I do think there’s a chance he doesn’t go but he’s probably looking for somewhere he can play basically all defensive snaps at his preferred position.

I don’t hate Purdy nor do I dislike JJ. JJ should have a great career, but he was not great in the playoffs. And currently Purdy does not look great.
If Michigan wanted to go this route they could offer Deon to coach the secondary. He has loads of connections from Sound Mind. Not saying it’s a great idea, but he’s well respected and could recruit. He also would keep the secondary together, as all the current guys really like and respect him.
That leaves DL and Secondary. Sterling Lucas was a name dropped if Cullen was going to be DC. Lucas and Wink had some overlap in their careers. I would love if they would bring him in. He’d be at least an A hire. Wink can coach DL or LB but most likely he’ll coach LB and get a dedicated line coach. That’s where Michigans strength is next season.
I would also reach out to Osborn. Try to bring on Osborn and Lucas and then look for a solid secondary coach with recruiting chops.
