You all are too kind!! Thank you so, so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate this and you :)

Shoot! Sorry friends, I really thought more of these stubborn clouds would move out like they did a bit to the west. Temps are still on track but expect more cloud cover! Cheers to doing better next week, go blue!

I’m so sorry y’all. I’ve been working 14 hour days all week and left early to travel out of town for a wedding today. I don’t know what I was thinking. :(

Haha hey at least I warned ya

Haha hey at least I warned ya it would rain for MN! :) It wouldn't surprise me if it rains today as the cold front moves through, but no thunderstorms are expected.

You're right! Models

You're right! Models struggled to pinpoint scattered showers, and when you get waves of energy working through on multiple levels of the atmosphere, they can have a hard time determining the amount of instability, too. A2 happened to have conditions right for a storm to fire up, and we got a deluge. Just one of those things many meteorologists, including myself, are trying to improve on in forecasting. :) Go blue!

Thank you! I'm glad they can

Thank you! I'm glad they can help! Regarding putting maps in, it's something I will definitely look into doing! I ran into a copyright issue before, but haven't checked things out in a while. Thank you for the reminder! :) Go blue!

Thank you so much, this makes

Thank you so much, this makes my day! Yes, that's me! I spent a few years at 7&4 and miss a lot of the people who work/worked there! It's a bit easier to make it to games now though :) Have a great week & go blue!

Thank you for saying that -

Thank you for saying that - this was a very difficult forecast thanks to all of the systems/dynamics involved! I actually discussed it with other mets in the DC/Baltimore area to get a better take on it, and figured with Joaquin involed an update would be needed today. And I try not to be wrong 80% of the time - pretty sure I'd lose my job if I was.

If you're watching the

If you're watching the Weather Channel or looking at their website at something written by a meteorologist, you're good. Be careful just looking at a certain city on the website or using the app - those are computer models, not a forecast by an actual person.

Thank you! :)

Thank you! :)

Oh my gosh thank you very

Oh my gosh thank you very much! That means a lot and makes my day! These forecasts are one of my favorite things to do. Go blue!

While Lansing was mostly

While Lansing was mostly cloudy, if not overcast by 8/9am when rain moved in, I have reports from spotters that Ann Arbor was different. Also, here's a link to the NWS reports of sky conditions from Ann Arbor - it was in fact clear this morning until about 8, when clouds built in. I will say though, the freeze warning was canceled at 4:14am. Going to be a miserable weather day for all of us in Michigan-that's for sure! Thanks for posting that, and stay warm in Lansing! Go blue!

For the game itself, we're

For the game itself, we're totally agreed! Pretty comfy in a tshirt... But if you were out tailgating beforehand, or headed out after the game-50s is sweatshirt weather for me! I'd rather you take it, sit on it during the game, and be happy you have it later at night. Have a good week!

Thank you so very much, what

Thank you so very much, what a nice thing to say! You made my day :)  Have a safe drive up and a fantastic time at the game! Go Blue!!

Thanks Don! It's interesting

Thanks Don! It's interesting because parts of Ann Arbor reported broken and/or scattered clouds until 4pm, while another weather station reported overcast. Apparently the Big House was nearest to the overcast location! Hopefully seeing a little less sun but having the wind and temperature forecasts accurate was still a little helpful to you.

Yes, I got in to UofM, but

Yes, I got in to UofM, but growing up in Saline wanted to get away for the college experience. The program there was also a better fit for me for my career. I never attended one sporting event there, actually returning home to go to Michigan games. After State, I returned to do research for UofM until attending grad school. My support for Michigan has never waivered, especially now that Brady Hoke is the coach (I grew up living down the street from his family, running cc and graduating with his daughter, Kelly). Go Blue!
