And maybe no one reads this b/c you've all moved on to the infinite new DCC threads, but don't think anyone has mentioned Durkin has/had a 3 year contract with Michigan.
Per Section 4.4(b), he can terminate employment without good reason by delivering written notice to the university but forfeits deferred comp and team performance payments. Assume MD will more than make up those amounts, but was curious about the terms of his agreement and thought others might be too.
Would have been nice to keep him another year for sake of continuity and recruiting, but can't blame a guy for taking the next step professionally when opportunity presents itself. Hope we beat the Terps by 40 when they come to the Big House Nov. 5, 2016. Like the rest of you, I have faith in Harbaugh's track record in picking DCs, so I'm excited to see who he lands us for next season... hopefully it's somone who can come up with a plan to stop OSU's ground game.
