He'll play in Europe and enjoy himself for a few years before graduating to the real world. He's also a Ross graduate, so he is set up no matter what...why not enjoy yourself following your passion before entering the corporate world?

There are probably other reasons for offering this kid aside from just Isaac and Green's interests. His film suggests that he is insanely fast. And he is from Florida so maybe Hoke and staff want to make some connections with his high school and that area.

It doesn't mean that really

It doesn't mean that really though...it means the number of players you're gaining or losing with each incoming recruiting class and outgoing recruiting class. The 7-1 RB means that we are losing one more running back than we are gaining. We have seven scholarship RB's now and next year we'll have six.

Thought this was

Thought this was interesting...Conley is listed as around the 16th-20th player in Ohio. For reference, Jarrod Wilson was #15 last year to rivals, and a 4-star recruit and people seemed pretty excited about him. Regardless of whether or not the ratings change, Conley should be at least somewhat highly rated.

Not directly related to the

Not directly related to the announcement but around the 15 second mark of his highlights is pretty hilarious. A defensive tackle sized punter throws an interception to Conley...definitely one of the more unique plays I've ever seen.

Edit: Seems people have the same observations as I do.

Did we even have a commit at this point last year?

Gardner only played until his

Gardner only played until his 4th game. The athlete in the article played until his 5th...that was more than 30% of his games so that makes him automatically ineligible. They both are separate cases really.

Holding a Spot Open

Not to stray too OT here but I'm a bit confused on the whole "holding a spot" for someone idea. Everyone is saying the coaches are holding a spot open for Levenberry...but how exactly do the coaches say no to the other players who want to commit. What if Onwualu commits  this weekend (not likely I believe) and then Gladney tries the trigger and gets turned down because we're leaving a spot for Treadwell open. How is that justified? Is it because the offers are only verbal? Maybe I'm just aa bit confused on what the holding a spot actually means.

Kendall Fuller?

James Onwualu

James Onwualu can play both sides of the field but from his film he looks like a versatile (and fast) offensive weapon and he has interest in Michigan (visiting in March). He would be an awesome pick-up along with Treadwell. Dukes, Onwualu, and Treadwell at receiver would be a nice haul indeed.

Darius Morris and Manny

Darius Morris and Manny Harris may think otherwise, but Burke will probably stay due to his size like everyone else has said. And to think that of the lineup of Burke- Hardaway- Robinson- McGary- Morgan with Horford, Stauskas and Brundridge on the bench is truly scary.

It's Novak and Douglass's last home game against Ohio ever. They are gonna light it up!

Highlights

Anyone think his highlight film reminds a bit of Armani Reeves? Maybe that comparison is actually a slight against Jourdan though, he looks like an absolute athlete in every sense of the word. Amazing pick-up!

I was waiting until the

I was waiting until the commits started rolling in...but now this truly does have the potential to be a scarily good class. I think we had 8 commits in the Rivals 250 for 2012...we already have 4 and that's without knowing who these other two are. Good times are ahead indeed.

Beyer as WDE

Wasn't Beyer recruited as a weak-side end in the first place? How much would he have to bulk up to play there effectively?

16th-19th

seems about where we should be in the first place. We aren't quite an elite team yet but we have a chance at doing some damage in the tournament. If our three-point shooters catch fire down the stretch there seems to be a chance that we are set up for an even better seeding.

Sorry to keep on the Wire

Sorry to keep on the Wire talk but your idea inspired me to use my other favorite Marlo line. Oh, indeed.

His WR highlights are great also...

I feel like his recruitment is about to pick up even more. I was surprised when he wasn't listed in the Rivals250. His film (to me at least) is extremely impressive and he seems like a great target for us to pick up at wideout. It's also cool that he seems to truly value academics as he's echoed that in the interview here and with Tremendous.

Jake Butt

Don't forget Jake Butt at #96

Edit: Beat to it

Funchess

I agree with the above. From his highlights it really looks like he can go up and get the ball too. I wonder if Borges implements him first as a wide receiver and as he puts on weight throughout the years they transition him to being a TE.

Flannels

About time we got some flannel wearing football players.

Rivals 100

Hopefully he's in the Rivals100 tomorrow, Heimholdt says there's a lot of Midwest talent.
