Let's be real

While I understand the point the OP is getting at, the MSU test at hand is from 2001 while the UM example is from 2011. Now I realize that it is supposedly a practic test for this year as stated by the OP, but we have no idea of the source. First, it could be no way correlated to this year's test, and secondly, if this years practice test, the practice test may be nothing like the real one.  MSU's academics has gone up drastically since 2001.

1 quibble

The one quibble the I have with your argument, which also negates the complete post, is that the Spartan Marching Band is a far superior marching band than the Michigan Marching Band. This calls into question your entire judgement thus making your points invalid.

Bell was a LB in HS

He was a 2 star LB in high school that had offers from osu and obviously some lesser schools to play LB. I don't believe we ever targeted him. Coach Dantonio offered him the opportunity to run the football and if it failed switch back to LB, so a win win for Mr. Bell. And once he hit sparty's campus he literally hit the ground running and never looked back.

We complain about them always talking about us

What were those stupid Michigan fans doing with that sign that just added fuel to the fire???

He will probably end up in green The biggest reason I see is because of the immediate opportunity to play. I believe that is one of the main reasons he decided to go to UT because he could play his freshman year, rather than redshirting behind 3 seniors at msu. I believe the claim could be made he wants to get to try and get to the NFL as soon as possible to help out his family financially and at UT he saw a better opportunity to than msu. With that in mind he can immediately start at msu and play in the pro style offense he wants to be in. Plus, he use to work out with Maxwell in high school.
Hmm

Why have I never heard of this rule before this?

I'm not convinced that a

I'm not convinced that a Georgia loss puts Michigan in the top 14. If it is, let's say, a 14-21 point victory I think Georgia may stay ahead of Michigan. As of right now it is a .10000 difference which equates to about 2 to 3 poll positions. Losing to LSU with a perfect 1.000 BCS rating is not like losing at all if its close. So for Michigan to go to crack the top 14 it needs to be a blow out.

This is all subject because obviously it's the BCS that matters

First and most obvious, if MSU wins vs Wisconsin they will remain ahead of Michigan. A loss though, in respect to Michigan's BCS hopes, will be negated because Wisconsin would most likely jump Michigan. As of this week they are about 1/8th of a position behind Michigan, thus either their win vs PSU or a win next week will mean the B1GCG fails to help Michigan in their BCS aspirations.

In addition to the B1GCG not helping Michigan, the SECCG may also leave Michigan in the CapOne or Outback. We have seen with Alabama and Oregon that losing to #1 LSU is not much of a loss at all. Thus if UGA loses to LSU, UGA's fall may be more of a trip as opposed to a plummet. As of right now they are ahead of Michigan by about a 3 position fall from dropping behind Michigan. I can see the fall behind Michigan happening if its an absolute blowout but I err on the side of UGA not falling that far.

Finally, in the Big 12 the only hope for Michigan is a loss by Oklahoma but I doubt that makes them fall 6 spots because of the Computers obscene love for the Big 12 and it was to Oklahoma State, a top 5 team.

Summing all the parts together, if I was a betting man I would say Michigan does not break the top 14.

Big Ten Championship

Geeezz nobody is giving sparty a shot in the championship game. I like it.

My explanation

I realize Dantonio will not root for Michigan because of his position and I do not think that makes him a douche or a dickhead, but thats just him. If I was MSU I would have cheered for a Michigan win because it means the NW is a no stakes game where they can rest key players that have a few dings. Also this sets up another week of preperation for most likley a potent Wisconsin offense.
