Nothing to add about the Free Press's pathetic treatment of this situation.
I just want to write that following a Tigers team during a playoff year without John Lowe has been annoying or worse. But every morning, I smile as I avoid that assclown publication. I suspect that I'm in good company.
Anyone know how much of an impact all of this has ad on the Free Press? It can't be helping its image. I wonder if after the initial excitement there has been a meaningful dip in sales and/or internet hits.
And let's apply what you found with what we've seen. It holds up pretty good.
QBs at UM (after Bo) morphed into TE-sized brutes made to withstand the punishment. And fairly mobile recruits (like Henne) were bulked up to where they became immobile. To survive in the pocket, our system essentially required the QB to become immobile, robbing the team of a great weapon.
Those men took a pounding back there. They had to be huge. And still they could get hurt -- look at Henne's senior season.
Brady and Henson were the exceptions. Mallett was on his way to playing at 6'6" and 260.
So if I send Brian an email telling a Feagin-related tale of gerbils, applesauce and recruiting hostesses, Brian lacks cajones if he wants a little confirmation before running with the story?
For season ticket purposes -- this year's home schedule sells itself.
Next year will be interesting if we have 6 or 7 wins during the 2009 season.
I think we'll win 8 or 9.
