My house is only a couple miles away from the lava outbreak right now. I will be staying out of the ocean for fear of getting swallowed by a whale. Could you please predict more of my future??

Papi Voice...

YOU DON'T GET THE SHOW!

EDIT: Wrong Comment... My bad.

I deserved that

but my mother in law isn't coming with us. AYOOOOOO

Moving to Hawaii in July

These noon games are going to be tough, but oh so worth it...

UCF

I have a friend that works in the compliance office at UCF and they said that he is coming there. FWIW

Thank You

It looks like he is saying "Thank You" to the official.

Travis Trice

"Travis Trice has to show ID for R rated movies"

Head injuries

I usually have stomach issues from all that greasy food after Five Guys...

As long as

As long as kids <18 years old like them, they don't bother me. They have obviously done the research to find that younger kids, future recruits, enjoy them and may have some impact in their decision of which school to choose.

Same here..

After I heard the anouncement that they shot it during Howards presentation I was worried I would be blocked by the banner or something else... Sadly, it happened....

Damn

It was fun watching you play. I hope it all works out for him, but unfortunately I doubt it will... Bummer

Or..

It's like saying Suh was the greatest defensive lineman in the Big Ten

I could be wrong...

Last I knew Rugby was still a varsity sport for Cal.

http://newscenter.berkeley.edu/2010/09/29/teamcuts/

This was dated back in Sept of 2010, but I remember hearing news that they were to remain a varsity sport.

EDIT: Nope I was wrong. It clearly says club right in the title.DELETE

I just wonder...

I know this is obvious, but I just wonder how this season would have been if Warren stayed and Woolfolk didn't get hurt. I know that the secondary wasn't the prime reason the D sucked, but having two senior playmakers and leaders could have made the difference in the loses. If I were Rich Rod I would be sick to my stomach knowing that I couldn't even see my recruits play as upperclassmen. Give the man a chance DBrandon!!

Agreed

But you can't fire a guy who hasn't seen the majority of his players develop. We still have first year starters and even first year college students  starting in these games. You can't tell me any other coach would turn this program around with what he was given after Carr left. Even if it had been another style like Carr's, it just wasn't working as well, and Michigan needed a change. I just think it sucks for RR to be fired and has only truly had 1 and a half years of recruiting with an empty cupboard of a team handed down to him.

I think..

I think he only looks at the scoreboard. Yea we put of 17 pts against MSU, but I'd be happy with 380 yds of offense on a down day.

ok

First off. It was clear that Tate was not 100%  in the 2nd half of the season. Could have been his shoulder, could have been his concussion. I don't know if you've ever had a concussion, but you are not the same. It took me a while after my first concussion to actually hit as hard as I could before. In Tate's case it may have taken him a while to be more aggressive and to think faster. Plus, he was a true frosh.

Secondly, this is an honest question that may make me sound stupid, but how is RR responsible for the D. I know, I know he's the head coach, other than that he has proven to be an offensive guy. His def. coaches are responsible for recruiting and developing the players. I just don't understand how RR can be responsible for the D's performance.

Look, RR has proven that with the right players on offense they can do incredible things, and they are proving that quite well, not great and def. not at their highest potential,  this year,. How can you fire a coach when nearly all of his recruits are underclassmen??

Hard to do..

but I wont wear my Howard jersey. Its been bad luck so far. Ive been wearing the same Adidas hooded sweatshirt this year and will continue to wear it. I altered my wardrobe last week by wearing my Adidas track jacket, needless to say thats not worn on saturdays anymore. The track jacket has been good luck for basketball though.

Met Rich Rod in person

He's looking good, no homo. I was actually surprised at how fit and slim he was looking. My girlfriend had similar comments. He looks much younger than 47. I wish I had Barwis training me for free.

This says a lot about RR

and his eye for real talent, not just what they are ranked. I could care less what ESPN or Rivals ranks athletes.  I mean for the most part they do a pretty good job ranking players, but there's no way they can judge EVERY kid in high school. RR can keep bringing in 3-star athletes for all I care. He's got a better eye for talent and for kids that fit his system than any ESPN analysts do.

Not sure

If he was they didn't show him to the crowd like they usually do.

ILL TAKE THEM

I am in Ann Arbor right now.

EDIT: disregard

Answer

We have more "down in front" people in our stadium.

Interesting line

"Kelly has been at Notre Dame for nine months now, and already the Irish don’t give away games like they did in the past, with turnovers or penalties in crucial situations."

Like the pass into the crowd on their last play of the game?? Or the pass into the crowd before half?

OMG

You can't even chalk that up to a freshman mistake. That was something a freshman in high school does! I couldn't Believe that when I saw that on replay.

IMO

This was a perfect scenario for  them to showcase this call. Much like the head-to-head contact call in Northwesterns first game. Im tired of professional sports. I've never really liked MLB, I jumped off the NBA bandwagon in the early 2000s hoping it would get back to the old days of ball, and now the NFL gives me a reason not to watch them. Still like NHL though!! GO RED WINGS!!!

Wait...

Did he take a crack on us for not remembering our last NC?? Im 25 (which is still quite young) and I remember being sick in bed and watching that game and I will never forget how much better that made me feel. Now I don't think this fag is much older, but wasn't ND's last championship in 1988!!!!

This is why

we don't need to red-shirt Devin

Agree

Cam needed to hit him and jar that ball loose. There was nothing but Michigan guys around to snag the ball that was about to be propelled off that guy and into the hands of a Michigan player giving them their 1st INT of the year and that much needed boost of self-esteem.

Great point

I noticed the same thing. Idk if it were jitters b.c he was tackling someone new, but I expect someone to show what they got and lay the wood when you get the shot to prove yourself.

Vincent and Shaw

I see them getting a lot of carries this week, especially if they run a qb spy on Denard which could take one more linebacker out of the play. Im not too worried about them running a spy on DROB because our lineman will do a better job blocking down field than they did against UCONN. There were a few plays where it was one block away from being a huge gain for a TD.

Wet short grass

I hope they grow it out too. Shorter wet grass (if it happens to rain this weekend) would be much slicker than it would if it were tall. Denard can plant his foot better in the tall grass and reverse the effect of them taking his shoes off, by juking ND out of their shoes. My high school field had tall grass and I don't ever remember rain having an effect of making the field more slippery.

Just think

He doesn't have to tie his shoes so its not like it takes him a while to put them back on and velcro them back down.

Man

I teared up.... The Brock part got to me. I hope the best for our team. The men have worked so hard they deserve some good fortune to come their way. And I think this is their year. I have all the confidence in the world for them.

My Prediction

That was my prediction as well.

End of 1st - 10-0

End of 2nd - 17-7

End of 3rd - 31 - 17

End of 4th - 38 - 24

UM 38 - UCONN - 24

YES

1st half

I wasn't too impressed in the first half. It was way to early to pass judgement, but I am not impressed at all with Pryors arm, never have been. I know its a pretty biased opinion but I have always laughed at the inaccuracy of his arm. Next week will be a chance for a better assessment I guess.

Go Blue!!

3 and out

I would really like to see our defense out there first. After the emotional opening ceremonies who wouldn't be ready to knock some heads around. A 3 and out would erupt the crowd and would give that confidence the D needs and deserves. Even a 5 plays and out would really pump up the crowd and settle some of the nerves for the young kids.

Offensively, I agree with bklein09. A nice sustainable series that ends with points. Starting out with a defensive stop will give the offense some momentum heading into that series. Ive never been so pumped for a season opener!!! ( ok I say this every year, but Im just excited to see our boys play)

GO BLUE!!!

Brilliant

Brilliant my good man... Brilliant

Agree

I feel thats a game we should get that would look decent and help RR get that quality win.

Agreed I thought it was just my friends from state that acted that way, apparently not, makes me hate the school even more. I love how they expected us to cheer for them, but im pretty sure 9 outta 10 of my state friends picked clemson over michigan. Cant wait for the fall and soon after that the basketball season so we can have a clean sweep against them cow fuckers.
