Harbaugh... Harbaugh???
He speaks for Hoke as much as I speak for Gluten-free meals... either way a person's opinion doesn't matter. The fact is that Brady Hoke brought us our first BCS bowl win since 2003. He was a good man, but it hurts that he wasn't a better coach. I know that he bleeds Maize and Blue, but for now I wish he succeeds somewhere else. Things might've not worked here, but I will never throw hate towards a fellow wolverine.
Regarding the game.. as I said in another forum. When I find myself clapping with Hoke during good plays I fell ashamed and embarrassed. I should never have that feeling towards our Wolverines. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. Well, it was an amazing first half and up until the 4th quarter it was a hell of a game. I hope all the seniors the best in their future and I hope the OSU Buckeye will be found soon, will be found in good health, and I hope that Barrett has a speedy recovery. Amazing sportsmanship shown today. Other than that, my liver is now destroyed and decrepit thanks to you Brady Hoke and Dave Brandon. If it wasn't for Beilein, our volleyball, and a good portion of our Hockey squad, I'm sure that I would've been in the hospital by now with several liver spots. As long as you're not with us, and as long as I can look back to our 2011 season, I hope you well Brady. Fuck you, but I hope you do well eventually.
I agree... there is no reason to ever step foot into Columbus, or even Ohio for that matter.
Very uncharacteristic game... A very, very uncharacteristic game for Michigan. Thought we would be lighting it up on Offense while not having many turnovers and fouls, but it's the exact opposite. Our defense has shown up today though which is definitely a plus, and somewhat surprising, to the their counterpart. Definitely holding our own on the boards despite thinking that we possibly could've been manhandled going into this game when it comes to that aspect. Too many turnovers for us and too many transitional points for Nova. Got to play with a head on our shoulders and try not to make so many rookie mistakes despite being a fairly young team. Irvin and Walton need to start sinking shots if we want to pull away with the win. Let's Go Blue!
For what it's worth... before the broadcast was turned off, a reporter is heard stating, "he only took questions from this side of the room". Not sure if that is a coincidence, or intentional.
I had to rewind it a couple times but after a few listens the question was "regarding Delano Hill, is he suspended or-", to which hoke said yes. The journalist than responded, "so he is suspended", which gave to Hoke nodding his head and giving a thumbs up. The reporter tried to ask another (the same) question but he continued to nod his head anticipating the next question.
78-48 Michigan 78-48 Michigan
yeah... because giving Nuss the Head Coaching job because he is a smooth talker is a good enough reason for a promotion.
Would think... You would think he broke his fingers with how many balls he dropped so far this season.
cool still doesn't mean he could rebound
Go Blue! !!!
fucking Lane Kiffin??? C'mon Brian... you're better than these posts...
maybe A South Carolina and Georgia scenario. I believe SC was ranked 23 and Georgia was 6. When SC came off with the upset SC and Georgia were ranked 13 and 14 respectively. Now being that Oregon is 2 and Arizona was unranked (even though they received the most receiving votes) I could see maybe Oregon jumping back to the border on the top ten with Arizona following them. I guess it all depends on how everyone else plays in between those two. What is really interesting is being that MSU lost to Oregon, if MSU can win at Nebraska, do you put Oregon behind MSU if nobody else in the top ten loses??
No.... Not appearing in a Bowl Game for the first time in 3 decades... twice. Never beating OSU or MSU and finishing 1-7 in conference play his last year. 5 NCAA violations. Taking a top ten recruiting class his first year and having nearly a dozen of those students transfer by the end of his stint at Michigan. No support from the Regents or the fan base. He could recruit and he's doing a hell of a job at Arizona. He maybe could've turned UofM around, but nobody was willing to wait to find out.
Well... it's all in the statement
Wait... what?? Who was the one behind this math??
not a big fan of the 5-0 argument Incompetence aside, it irks me a bit when people state that "if they were 5-0 they wouldn't be up in arms". That statement seems incredibly false to me. Going into this season its safe to say everyone thought we would be at 4-1 or maybe even 5-0. People were also still on the fence with Hoke and everyone still disliked Dave Brandon. His shit scheduling, Coca-Cola promotions, and this concussion probably still would've happened with or without the record. This isn't an "icing on the cake scenario". This is a "Here's your shitty cake made of shit, and when your done with it here's another shitty cake made of shit. Oh, and you have to eat it Bruce from Matilda-style too!".
maybe... 24 oz. Coca-Cola showers?
Boycotting is the best option Not just for attending home gamea though, but also away games as well. If the affect spews over into other B1G teams revenue then chances are they won't stand for UofM's crumbling demise. I'm not for boycotting senior day, but hopefully everything will be resolved by then.
Never quite understood the meaning... I mean hell, Coach Beilein went to a private nonprofit university from New York and he is more of a "Michigan Man" than Brady Hoke. I think the term should represent who the person has become and how much they mean to the program, not who they used to be and the ties they have to the university. Otherwise don't use the term at all.
who's "all sorry asses" What do you mean, you want Mattison to go too?! ... sarcasm
Not by much I wouldn't think.. The person who would be able to convince John Harbaugh to come to Michigan would probably be Mattison. Being that they worked together in Baltimore, I'm sure that he could be the deciding factor. Either way Lloyd Carr was the one who didn't really care for Les Miles and I don't really think we could get either three of those guys. It would be nice but they haven't really showed any interest to returning to college.
Kinda regarding Warde Manuel... UConn did give Kevin Ollie the promotion from assistant to HC and that proved well for their shooty hoops program. I'm not sure how much that was Warde Manuel's decision, but he was behind the hire of Turner Gill and that turned out to be a good decision for the University of Buffalo. He has been on a firing spree sinced he arrived at UConn though, so I'm not really sure how that looks. He did manage to nearly double the revenue while at Buffalo though, and I'm sure that's something the Board of Directors at UofM like. Either way, Warde Manuel or not, anybody is better than Dave Brandon. He needs to go ASAP and we can't really begin a new head coach search until he leaves.
the metaphor for point #2 Should be more like "we will drain a little over 3 pints of blood from our loyal and returning patients only to give the new and shady customer an IV bag of it"
20-13 Michigan in Overtime I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that this one goes in overtime tied at 13 with Funchess getting the game winner in the endzone, Braylon Edwards style. Brown Jug stays in Michigan along with our first touchdown against a P5 opponent. Go Blue!
