Yeah it would have been cool

Yeah it would have been cool to see the impact he had. Like some of the other guys have said about Magic Johnson I kinda wonder how big the program could have been with Lindros playing here. Not that Red has had any trouble buidling a program anyways.

Eric Lindros

Eric Lindros would have been a fun guy to watch at UM. I guess he would have come to Michigan if he had chosen to play NCAA hockey. There was an article in the Daily about it one time where he was close to committing but his hometown OHL team ended up trading for the #1 pick so they could take him. Red is actually the person who gave him the famous double 8's.

Flashing Lights

Does anybody know the reason for the flashers that keep going off in Yost? I've never noticed them before at any other rink and never noticed them at Yost before tonight.

Another One Coming

Webb just tweeted there is another recruit committing after Fox. Here we go boys.

Totally

I think you are talking about American Subculture Groups: Beatniks, Hippies, and Punks. It was an awesome class. I still carry the ghost card in my wallet and have told that story myself multiple times.

Diary

I want to say this so I can feel like a manager in a AAA clubhouse. "I got the call today son, you're going up to the big leagues. Good luck, make us proud."

It looks like Leviticus is a

It looks like Leviticus is a 12 seed in the tourney so he would match up against the 5 not the 4. That being said, put #5 Silverberry Mouhoun on upset alert.

False Alarm

Turns out that was a hoax.

Patrick Kane

I remember reading about Kane before he was even drafted and how he had a chance to be the first American taken first overall in quite a few years. Then he went to the Blackhawks who I can't stand so I hated him on principle. Then I loved him in the Olympics (yeah he's not a Wing but gotta show some pride for the nation) and I pick him up whenever I can in NHL 11 dynasties.

Thank You

Someone with some sense in the thread, With Newton running roughshod over these guys and the "hey you guys can play in the bowl, but only because you promised you thought it was okay" from the tatoo issue, the NCAA has clearly shown the complete lack of any backbone when enforcing rules violations. Wait sorry, Tressel and OSU cheated!?!?! Shocking, simply schocking. This cannot go unpunished!

</3

Biggest heartbreak ever when he went to the locker room.

Have At It Boys

You may have seen this already but this is possibly the only thread where it is acceptable to post the Gus Johnson Soundboard. And yes, I frequent this often.

More Love

Found this article about the Charles Woodson effect and the Packer's defensive secondary blitzing techniques. Pretty good read.

I would by so much food from

I would by so much food from Denard. Genius idea, let's do it.

Yes

They are. Seniors would play football in fall 2011 and then traditionally graduate after the winter 2012 term.

Being from Saginaw and having

Being from Saginaw and having met Woodley a few times at the Y I would be very happy to see him bring another ring home. That being said I hope Woodson kicks the shit out of that asshole Roethlisberger en route to a Pack victory.

Ditto

Conforth is a super entertaining guy and really nice. I had him for a class and also saw him lecture about his time as the curator of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Both types of lectures were great.

Terrible

The trophy names are terrible, the division names are terrible, and the logo is worse. Penn State, Nebraska, and Chicago may have history (debatable on some points) but they do not have a Big Ten history. And I believe there was talk about balancing the award names to honor a variety of schools, and then they go and double up Purdue QB's and double up Wisconsin RB's. Not that they aren't deserving individuals (Ameche is new to me) but it doesn't seem to be as balanced as expected. Thank you Delany for blowing this.

4.49 40 According to Rivals

I'm not sure at all how this translate into football speed (i.e. is this a fast time for a high schooler?) but he seems like a burner. It seemed like every highlight was a streaks play with him just flat outrunning guys. Hope he's running those fly patterns for us soon.

Hell of a game from Morris.

Hell of a game from Morris. ESPN didn't even mention him in the recap despite his 13 pts, and team leading: 7 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals. We need to see more games like this from Darius if we want to keep winning games.

It's even worse because it

It's even worse because it always seems like MSU has the exact opposite. While this is without a doubt the best team they've had in a couple years, I don't think they'd have a chance at the title if OSU were on the schedule.

Edit: I forgot to point out that they are also extremely lucky when the new divisions take effect with their protected "rivalry" game against Indiana every year.

True

I was just commenting on how most people see centrifugal force as the common force for circular motion when it is really centripetal (centrifugal force is really a virtual force). Centrifugal force as a term was created largely by confusion of the process of the events at the time of discovery.

Science knowledge is the best

Props to Brian for saying centripetal force and not centrifugal force.

I agree that it is just

I agree that it is just something that comes with practice. While Denard is definitely inconsistent with his accuracy on deep balls, I'm less concerned about a lack of touch. That deep ball he threw to Roundtree was beautiful so he's shown the ability to make quality throws but just doesn't do so often enough. I think with more time working the offense and getting his timing down Denard will get a better "feel" with his touch on deep passes.

I Love Roundtree

He's one of my favorite players on the team. Ever since I watched the video where he and Shaw played the newlywed style game, I've loved his attitude. The team seems to be having fun with each other and the game and that is great for the program.

I wonder if GERG found a good

I wonder if GERG found a good one.

Good Point

He has been overlooked on offense it seems. Maybe switching from slot to the outside has affected him. Probably not. He has come up huge in the past. I guess I just got caught up in the what have you done for me lately thinking and unfortunately this year he hasn't had many opportunities to show his stuff. Hopefully he comes back strong next year.

This receiving corps is

This receiving corps is incredibly deep, now and into the future. We have three players who can easily take it to the house on any play in Roundtree, Stonum, and Hemingway. I am so excited to see these guys the rest of this year and for the rest of their careers. I think Miller and Jackson will be good as well. As for Odoms, while I don't think he has the break a big one ability like the others, he can block incredibly well for a receiver. The little guy really knocks corners back off the line.

I caught this somehow about 5

I caught this somehow about 5 minutes after the players left the field. He was still first row and they still got him on camera.

I recognized those blue

I recognized those blue sleeves and the haircut. This was at least 5 minutes after the game had ended and the players left the field and they still put this guy up there. I love it.

Edit: Also, for the record, this was the pinnacle moment that led to me creating an account on MGoBlog. I needed to share this picture with people who would be as excited a I was.

Great find

I like to see that the reporter wasn't terribly injured given the circumstances but I love Tate's attitude even more. He seemed truly happy to help the team win and he was proud of it. We need guys like that on the team, starters, backups, or walk-ons. They all need that attitude.

Very true

They were some lucky kids. But as a sophomore who has seen the team start 4-0 and miss a bowl and then start 5-0 only to lose 3 straight, it was good to see them win one in November as big as this.

Being a student who has been

Being a student who has been spoiled as far as early season play goes, it was good to finally see the team buckle down and pull one out in conference play. When Roundtree got caught inside the 5 on that long pass I had horrible flashbacks to the game from last year. Thankfully the end result was much better.

I put this in the Lloyd

I put this in the Lloyd thread, but his reaction to the game is that he is no longer dejected.

While taking one of those

While taking one of those extremely cheesy scoreboard shots, I managed to get a screen shot of who I think is Mr. Brady himself. Good news is he's no longer a dejected fan.
