Thanks for the reminder this was coming today. I live in Asia but am home for thanksgiving. I wanted to get tix for OSU for my girlfriend and I and figured I'd be paying $300 each minimum (more if we are winning).

There is no possible way this is true. There is no chance an injury report isn't handed up immediately to the head coach. There is no chance that report would take more than 24 hours to reach the coach. This is a bag of lies by the AD, carefully crafted to try and wiggle out of responsibility.

I really hope he's healthy this year. He's been a favorite player of mine over the last few years - mostly because of his tough as nails blocking. That and he's more likely to be run out of bounds than be brought down.
The problem you will encounter is that the game is free, no tickets necessary. And many people who show up will not have heard about the 'tickets', and are going to be concerned when you show up with a 'ticket' for the seats they have been sitting in long before you got there.
I also doubt that the stadium will put much time or personnal into enforcing the 'tickets'. It was essentially an entry into the drawing / marketing gimick.
If I remember, the previous poster was correct - the webage said the ticket admits you to a section. The 'seat' printed on the ticket is a generic place holder. Probably required by the ticket computer.
The Horror was worse. RR wasn't fielding an NFL talent laiden team coming off a potential national championship season. LLoyd's team was also very, very healthy starters. The Toledo loss team was mostly 3rd stringers.
Regardless of the offensive scheme, any coach who doesn't give the ball to Denard every snap is crazy. The ball in his hands is always seconds away from a touch down.
I think Denards passing this year has shown his ability as a QB. Spead or not, the threat of Denard will make a DC pay attention.
The problem last year was the lack of respect for the RB. DC's just made Denard hand off the ball because of the danger.
I'm scheduled to go to Ft Myers for work Dec 27th for a few days. If that happens, i'll drive up to Jacksonville for New Years Eve and stay for the game. Unfortunatly I won't know for sure if i'm going until right before. If I do, i'll post up.

I know RR has preached to everyone that the ball goes right to the ref after a play. Watch the ND game highlights for the winning TD and the ball went right to the ref.
It shows a level of respect to the refs and helps deter show-boating, but on non-TD plays it helps the ref set up faster to get the next play off. I'm not sure which part is more important...
