OT: Can anyone help me find a specific pic of Denard?
Can anyone help me find a specific picture of Denard that I'm looking for? My futile attempts at Google image searching have turned up nothing.
The picture is of him standing in Schembechler Hall admiring one of the Heisman trophies on display. I believe he is wearing his high school varsity jacket. I thought I found it on mgoblue.com some time ago but can't find it now. Any help is appreciated.

At least he didn't start his own thread.

I know the picture, and have had conversations with people about how it will be invoked forever in making the "OmG DENARD WAS DESTINED FOR THE HYZMIN!!!!" meme...
however I do not know where to find it. Sorry! :(

But along the same lines, does anyone have the video clip from ESPNU during the game after the last score where Denard was yelling and clapping down the sideline? I've never seen him get that fired up and would like to see it again (and eventually have it incorporated into a hype video).

Well, I know it is in the game film available at bigtentracker.com. Not sure if you want to download the whole game (though you definitely should).

Thanks. I think I'll start it now and maybe I'll be able to see that clip later tonight.

if you find it can you please re-post it, i'm currently making a hype video with clips of the harmon, howard, and of course chuck. that picture would just add so much more to what i'm doing. thanks appreciate it.

The thing about that Mike Martin/Shoelace picture, is it clearly shows Shoelace to be closer to his listed 6 foot than we were being led to believe by a few of the pundits and/or TV announcers earlier this year. I also noticed last week that as he was being helped off the field for the couple of plays that he missed with his sore knee, that when he stood up next to the Trainers, Denard appeared atleast as tall if not taller than them. And they were the Trainers who looked like they may have played ball at some point - not those little guys that you sometimes see.
As many have reported here on Mgoblog (from in-person sightings), Denard is atleast a solid 5'11" .... and may very well be a legit 6 footer

Clearly Denard is 5'4". Martin is just holding him up to face level because Martin bends down for no man (not even Denard ;) )

man i looked for over an hour for ya. i gave up. i figure if he had his letterman jacket it must have been during his official visit 1/9/2009. i'm sure someone out there is better at manipulating the internets and can figure out how to do an image search by date. i would try that since the photo probably has a credit and a date taken associated with it. another idea would be to hit up mvictors for it.

Man, think about how critical that visit was. At the time Denard was almost a recruiting afterthought after we lost Beaver. He came up in the dead of winter, when no games were going on, a few weeks after we finished a 3-9 season. The staff came up huge.

He wore his red Deerfield Ranch letterman's jacket to the spring game as well. It could have been then.
I remember telling my girlfriend during the spring game to look at the guy in the dreads in the red jacket. I told her he was the future.

October 5th, 2010 at 8:18 PM ^
Well, like I mentioned, I'm pretty sure I found it on mgoblue.com but I'm not positive about that.

help you on that search my friend. and try and find it as well.

It was one of his facebook profile pictures. He has since gone private so that's a huge blow to my creeping plans. Time to start following him around on campus.

You're right; that is where i found it. Dammit.

They have this picture on the blog Michigan Against The World. Idk the specific link as I'm on my iPhone but I remember they have it with a quote like "go get it son!" I think they're linked on here or just google them and scroll through the posts and you'll find it. It was a couple weeks ago maybe after ND they had it on there.

eh, doesn't fit the decor but I'll probably throw it on the mantle anyways. Also, looks kind of heavy--can my wall unit support 2 or 3 of these things? Regardless, it'll be a great conversation piece.

its not like thats is AT ALL foreshadowing.

Glad I could help.

I have a feeling that Denards display in Schembechler Hall will look eerily similar to Ol' 98's.
October 5th, 2010 at 9:42 PM ^
Except for that bronzed shoe. I'm guessing there will be one major difference there.
October 5th, 2010 at 10:01 PM ^
Yeah, Denard's bronzed shoe will have velcro.
