Devastated

I still am.  the penalty differential and the intent to blow the whistle, just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.  If we had lost to No. Dak. I could have taken it, they were clearly better,  but I hate losing to teams I feel are inferior. When we played 5 on 5 hockey, we were better, but the 5 on 5 hockey was always disturbed by another PK. Or another whistle every 15 seconds.  The first period was what the whole game could have been, had the zeebra's stayed out of it. I am bitter.and always will be! reminds me of the Miami game last year in the regional final!!

I want the Scooter-Cappy-bird

I want the Scooter-Cappy-bird GIF is there anyway i can "save" that to my computer or get it? I'm not real good with computers, just know the basics, any help would be appreciated.

I see you Matt Rust, I see you! Dude was sick all game, and got ALOT of ice time! Also, you see Scooter DANGLE??!!?! No goal came from it but DAMN he had the rubber on a string, Just seeing that got me out of my chair.

"YESSS!! YES!! YES!! YEESSSS!!!" - The only word I could get out of my mouth after the empty netter...all year we havent been able to fill the empty, and when we did, I couldn't do anything but yell, loudly "YEEESSSS!!"

APRIL FOOLS???

Rich Rodriguez got canned and Brady Hoke, a sub .500 head coach, is now the main man at the University of Michigan.  - worst April fools joke of my time!

*Disclaimer: I am in full support of Brady Hoke!!! But bitter, very bitter, over what happend to Rich Rodriguez.

just like guns...when used

just like guns...when used correctly they are ok, when used improperly they're killers!

The new lines looked good

The new lines looked good this past weekend! I thought we played with alot more intensity, we were flyin around, just didnt put the puck in the net as much as we would all have liked.  WMU tied ND and lost to ND, so we gained a point there, but WMU has been playing damn good hockey.  At one point they hadnt lost in 11 games, I dont know where that stands now, but they are a team that we cant take lightly, and I also think this weekend will give us a good test! GO BLUE!

Art Briles

another outside the box idea...what do you think? He coached under Mike Leach, then went to Houston at a time they were struggling and turned them around, and now look at what he has done to Baylor, made them respectable.  He does run a Denard friendly offense, his defense, dont know much about, I do know they just got trounced by Illinois...just another outside the box, me walking out on another limb, waiting for yall to be standing firmly on a branch waiting to shoot me down with a saw in hand.

much more respectable, you

much more respectable, you gave reasons other than he quaterbacked Nebraska in 97.  He was a co-defensive coordinator at Northern Iowa (lol, i know not high on the chain of coordinators, but still ...he was)  Im not in love with him, i just like how everything fits with him.  All of our ideas and "requirements" that everyone has mentioned on here, he fits, except he is not a big name, infact he is a very small name that hasnt been mentioned for any job.  Just thought id throw the idea out there and see what everyone else thought.  I went out on a limb, and i see the limb broke, as far as yalls opinions go anyway.

Respect your opinions

but lets talk about him as a coach.  Not as a quaterback at Nebraska.  I mean why hire anyone then, they've all been other places...so lets hire a 12 yr old who has never coached or played anywhere else.

I respectfully disagree with your opinions.  ONLY because your opinions are not based on him as a coach...your opinions are based off of a 22 yr old quaterback whining and making an arguement for his case.  Which we can all agree, he did not have one that year, there was only one team worthy of the MNC that year, and he wasnt a part of it.

I just like the idea of him as a candidate...I think itd be a great get. 35 yr old, recruit gettin, defensive minded, sexy offense guy.

yes, that man.  If i recall

yes, that man.  If i recall we won the national championship, got 3 of the 4 trophies, and won it in the AP and Coaches poll.  Im not looking at him as a PLAYER! Looking at his coaching resume, it may not be extensive, but the man would be a good fit.  and would be a great get for recruiting and is only 35 yrs old.  I still bath in our 97 GLORY as do all.  If you want to go with your logic, we never should have hired Bo Schembechler...i mean he did coach for Woody right?

Scott Frost

Brian, I posted this on the "Show 'Em The Money" post just a couple hours ago. But i see this post is the better one for this idea of mine. And I personally believe the guy would be a brilliant hire, but I doubt many will agree.  I am sincerely interested in your thoughts as well as everyone else's.

I found our perfect candidate!! ALL SERIOUSNESS! tell me what you guys think.

Scott Frost.

played DB in college, then went on to the NFL for 6 years or so.

Was co-Defensive Coordinator with Northern Iowa

and is not the WR coach for the nations sexiest offense: Oregon.

and to top it all off.  He is a 35 yr old. HIGH OCTANE RECRUITING MAGNENT!!!

what more can you ask for.  He would bring an offense that fits our talent perfectly, and he has a defensive background.  I dont think we could ask for much more.

Art Briles

OFF THE WALL coaching candidate:

Art Briles: head coach at the University of Baylor

coached under Mike Leach at Texas Tech

turned around a struggling Houston program

and has turned around a LOWLY Baylor program.

could utilize the talent that we have in place by running a similar style spread offense

i know he is not a "BIG NAME" or even on the rumor wire, but the "BIG NAMES" that are on the rumor wire, would be awful, in my own opinion.  Les Miles? Brady Hoke? seriously??? ill say no to both thank you.

couldnt have said it better.

I LOVE YOU!! haha

<p>  I would like to start

I would like to start out by asking everyone to really realize what is of upmost importance to you in your life. I for one am as GUILTY as anyone, for putting Michigan in general, Rich Rodriguez's job "situation" at the forefront of my thoughts, day in and day out. But have recently had a few experience that have put things into perspective. My 3 year old nephew has had health issues, and been in and out of the best childrens hospital in the WORLD.  That my friends really, truely, makes me re-think what is important. That said, i live, die, breathe, and bleed Michigan athletics. So even while going through everything with my nephew, who lives with me, I still have our current scenario with our football program racing from the back of my mind to the front of my mind, and then to the back again. So here this goes.

Dave Brandon: "Michigan Man" can someone please define a "Michigan Man" for me? I thought it was defined by honesty, integrity, loyalty, you know..doing people right, giving people a fair deal, someone who is not just about wins and losses. In my own opinion, I do not believe Brandon has handled this situation like a "Michigan Man." Bo would not have handled this in this fashion.

I will support whoever is our coach, and right now that is Rich Rodriguez, and i support him with all i have. I am a 22 year old KID, someone who remembers 1997, 1997 being my first year of a clear memory anyway. That said, I loved Lloyd Carr , I didnt know Bo through experience, but through ALL of his books, and his short media apperances. Bo and Lloyd were Michigan men, maybe Harbaugh is, he seems like he is, he is on hell of a coach, but he is not MY coach, MY coach is Rich Rodriguez, he is the one that dons the headset each Saturday..My point is, Brandon has not handled this like a "Michigan Man" he has handled it like a power hungry "alpha dog." Its too early to judge him, and i think he is a great AD, but he has fumbled this football in my opinion.

a quick glimpse into what goes through my brain waves:
 Rich Rodriguez's judgement:

 1) improvement - he has done that, bar none.

 2) talent: upcoming HEISMAN(s)? need i say more? **defense** its partially there, on the D-Line,the DB's are coming, and we all know the luck with the defensive secondary, and as for LB's the potential for Crable/Harris type production/talent was there, but didnt and hasnt been developed correctly or something.

 3) players respect- EVERY ONE of his players love him (had link to a freep article that wasnt being allowed so google "Players show support for Rich Rodriguez in Freep" or something.... this is just a SMALL peak to how they feel. The article with Darryl Stonum in the december issue of  "The Wolverine" speaks more to just what coach Rod means to these players.

Now that said, i think thats enough to keep him, but Dave Brandon, is not being the "Bo Schembechler's Michigan Man" he is letting a friendship (with Jim Harbaugh) guide his "search." THAT my friends is not how "Michigan Men" do things, they do not step on someone elseto climb a ladder, and Rich Rodriguez is being used as just another step in Dave Brandons ladder.

This is just how i see it my fellow MICHIGAN lovers, this is just a taste of my opinion, i could write a novel, instead i chose a chapter. If you can't tell, ill be blunt. Rich Rodriguez deserves another year, agree or disagree with his philosophy, he DESERVES to be treated right, and he is not getting that. This was my first "post" so it might be a bit rusty, so please forgive my abundance amount of hydrous ferric oxide in my attempt at a post. It will get better with guidance.

Those who stay will be champions. GO BLUE!!!

PS. how about that GLI championship to jump start our second half run?

After reading this, i agree

After reading this, i agree with all of it, or atleast a majority of it.  I do however have to ask everyones opinion on this.

"This is a frustrating team. They'll play two games that are exactly the same over the course of the weekend. They will lose one. They will win one. Most of the time the outcome of either game seems heavily dependent on luck."

Maybe its just me but i feel as though we always seem to play on Saturday nights, why is that? When we do split a weekend series, we always seem to play tight on Friday, and then win 5-1 or something on Saturday.  Does this have to do with Red just out coaching the opponnent?

will be there Saturday, GO BLUE!!

TV??

why is it that i am not our game on any TV stations?are we not being televised???

plays

ECKER...PITCH THE BALL!!! even if Breaston isnt there, and nobody is...you DO NOT get tackled or go out of bounds...ITS THE LAST PLAY OF THE GAME...that for me is top 3 material, just because of the stupidity.

I dont know if this will be there tomorrow, but Crables hit on Troy Smith has to be up there, although i still dont believe he lead with his head.
