Fuck all you liberals, not…

Fuck all you liberals, not everything is political!!! Only thing I will say!

Being a Fan of UofM

So I am basically hearing from a few people that I can't really feel a tie to UM as a fan because I didn't attend or graduate from UM.  I am 67 years old and have been a fan since I can remember.  I chose to go into the military and make it a career of 24 years after I graduated high school, so didn't get to attend UM.  But I guess since I went and served my country while other people were going to UM makes it so that I am not that much of a fan.  This is what is wrong with this country and people's attitudes today, enough said by me!

Whiney People!!!!

I have never seen so many whiney people in my life as what I have seen on this site for the last couple of months.  I know you won't ever miss me but I think I am taking a break from here.  Maybe it will be better in awhile, I hope so, as I liked coming here a couple times a day but not anymore.  I sure am glad the players are growing up faster than the fans!   Go Blue always!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All This Bitchin!!!!

I don't say much as you can see, although I have been around for a couple of years and this year is the worst I have ever seen some of the fans react to anything to do with Michigan Football and AD Brandon.  All I see is a bunch of whimpering, "supposed" fans doing nothing but putting down anything to do with the programs, student atheletes, coaches, administrators, you name it, if it can be bitched about you will do it.

I don't see you out there everyday busting your butt for the program like everyone I mentioned does, so why doesn't everyone just maybe grow up and act like you may have gotten an education at UofM and they may have actually taught you something about manners, respect, responsibility, dignity, perseverence and how to grow up.

I would have given anything to attend UofM but there happened to be a war on at the time I got out of school and I ended up going into the service and making a 24 year career out of it and evidently I learned a lot more about growing up and respect than if I would have attened Uof M from the looks of it.

I do not like the way the football program is now either but give the kids a chance to grow up into the type of players the team needs to represent the university and you. I have to say that I don't believe there is anyone on this board that is bitching, that could do a better job at the present.  Hopefully there will be some changes made, but we will have to wait and see.  In the meantime why don't you support the team and the university that you profess to love so much!!!!!!!!  End of sermen!

Harbaugh??????

Sorry, but I never got that impression from Brandon when I was following the search.  I don't think he felt Harbaugh was the one to pursue so he never really did and besides we all knew Harbaugh wanted to go to the next level.

I felt Hoke was great from the get go!  Anytime you can get someone that wants a job as bad as he did, you know you will get complete devotion to it!  I used to hire less qualified employees over other qualified people because they showed me they wanted the position more and they always turned out to be good hires.

AS far as I am concerned I don't ever need to hear the names of Miles and Harbaugh brought up again concerning the head coaching position at Michigan, they didn't want it and it showed!!!!!!!

Just Keep Going!

I thought the same thing about the offense at the beginning of last year keeping Denard from running, until I read a couple of interviews by Brady and Al stating that Denard always had the option to run if he could make it a positive play.  But Denard was still learning how to differentiate when he should go and when he shouldn't, so there was some hesitation to run until later in the season when he felt comfortable and understood the offense more. I don't think we will see too much of this indecision this year, having run the offense for a full season and becoming comfortable and more understanding of what he and it is trying to do, at least I sure hope we don't.

Eric Dickerson wasn't too bad!

Eric Dickerson  (6'3", 220 lbs) wasn't too bad a running back for SMU and in the NFL for the Rams, Colts, Raiders and Falcons, only went to pro bowl 6 times, 4 times NFL rushing champion, 2105 yards rushing in a season, seventh leading rusher all time and NFL Hall of Fame.  So all in all, the upright running style doesn't mean he can't be good or even great because that is the way Dickerson ran and he was a really good back!  He was drafted in 1983, Round 1, pick #2 by the Rams and had a career of 10 years. So I would be in favor of getting Ty Issac if at all possible, just might turn out to be an Eric Dickerson type player, who knows?

I for one wanted Hoke

I for one wanted Hoke even before Harbaugh and Miles, just because he wanted to be at Michigan.  Harbaugh had all along, given the impression to me since the RR hire, that he would never be interested in coaching at Michigan.  And why would Miles leave LSU, he doesn't bleed "Maze and Blue" anymore!

I have faith in Hoke and to sit here today and say RR would have won "x" amount of games this year or Hoke is going to win "x" amount is not even relevent as we will never know, will we?

I supported RR all along and thought maybe he might be the "guy" but after we started playing the "big boys" in the conference I knew it wasn't going to work.  So, he needed to go since I didn't see him as wanting to change his philosophy about defense, especially!

I think "M" should win more than last year because there will finally be a semblance of a defense on the field. And as many people have stated, a much more mature and experienced returning almost intact, offense.

I just hope we can let the past 3 years be the past and move into the present and future.  No one knows if Hoke will be the answer but at least the guy wants to be here as well as his staff, and he does bleed "Maze and Blue".  Hoke and his staff seem to be very good in the recruiting effort so far and seem to me that they are offering kids from all over the country, besides trying to win the battle at home!

Go Blue!

Hire Hoke Now

I agree with UMxWolverines that DB should just go ahead and hire Hoke now and get on with life.  Hoke evidently bleeds maze n blue and really wants to coach Michgan football when there appears to be alot of popular coaches that don't want anything to do with the program.

At least Hoke will bring enthusiasm, dedication and put his all into making Michigan a great program again.  I can't see how he won't be good for Michigan?  I say give him a chance!  One can't be a great football coach without getting the chance to prove themselves, just like someone at work that wants to advance their position.

The Harbough boat has sunk and besides, why go after a guy and offer him the world to coach at Michigan when he evidently has no desire to do so.  Even if DB would have made a better offer than anyone else, we would end up with a great coach, but not fully dedicated to Michigan, and most likely always thinking about someplace else in the future.

I think Hoke is respected by his present and former players, assistant coaches, admin and student bodies, so where is the downside to hire a guy that has turned two programs around?  He didn't just get off the turnip wagon to do this.

Just my thoughts on the whole coaching fiasco.  By the way, I think RR had to go.  I was for giving him another year until the PS game and ever since, and the bowl game was absolutely disgusting to watch.

Thanks for providing a place for me to post my two cents on the subject.
