I can't remember what time they start for a 3:30 game, but I don't think it was 8:00. Maybe a band member will let you know or try calling the music school.
You can watch the band practice the halftime show at Hill and Division about 8:00 a.m. for a noon game. They have bleachers to sit in, and is a great place to throw the football around when the band is done. It is a great place to park for tailgating, but a little pricey (was $40). A lot of families of the band hang out here.
Going towards Pioneer High at Main and Stadium is a kids zone. It has many activities for kids to try, and a radio show talking about the upcoming game is on site (I think it starts by 9:00 am).
Two of Rick Leach's years were in white pants. The other eight years of the 70's were in maize. I would say wearing maize 80% of the time is a little more traditional than white pants.
Maize pants was a tradition for U of M football. Bob Ufer used to describe the uniform for an away game something like this "Michigan is wearing white jerseys with blue numbers and the traditional maize pants". For only two years in the 70's did Michigan break from that tradition. Only a few games were on tv then, so you didn't see the white pants often. When Michigan was on tv in their road uniforms, I thought they looked very ordinary. It didn't look right then, and it doesn't look right now. If you are someone who wants all the different color combos and chrome helmets, then go to Oregon and get off my lawn.
Davis spent at least 2 hours going up and down the stairs in the endzone of Ford Field. Glasgow was spending some time on the stairs as well. Looked like his arm was still in a sling. Jehu Chesson was pulling something with huge ropes on the sideline.
