While I'm certainly excited for this, I'm very disappointed that this site didn't have a 1000 Muppets. I guess the goings on around the program have everyone in a non-celebration mood. That is very unfortunate, but I get it.
I remember watching that championship game against Boston in my friend's dorm room in Bursley (we were Freshmen). After the OT win, it felt like the entire dorm emptied onto north campus to catch a bus to central where the real parties were. On the bus everyone was shouting, laughing, singing the victors, etc. Then there was a lull and everyone got quiet. One girl in the middle of the bus all of a sudden screamed "WE WON THE HOCKEY!" and everyone started cheering again. It's a fun memory that my friend and I will never forget.
I was at the Colorado game. I was a freshman in high school at the time. My parents had an extra ticket so I invited my good friend who hapenned to be a Colorado fan. That game hurt. This is so much worse. Not only is this a rivalry, but they didn't have to make a great play to get the win, this was handed to them. I'm hurting just as much as the other fans, but I feel so terrible for those kids. Being mad at a snapper or a punter is ridiculous. Every single one of the kids on our team worked their asses off and I'm proud to be a fan.
Maybe we would have been better off throwing all the defenders at Rudock and hoping for infinite targetting calls.
Did the refs just think that he was in the restricted area? Or do they think those were regular blocking fouls (even though they weren't)? Is it a different foul if you're in the restricted area? These are nuances of basketball that I don't completely understand.
I was at the game and I saw the throw coming before it was released. I immediately looked at the receiver. Cissoko could feel that the ball was in the air but he hadn't turned around to find it yet. He immediately slowed down and crouched with his hands slightly out, halting the receiver. Then Cissoko found the ball. All you see in the video is after Cissoko found the ball and I agree that if this is all that happened, the only call you can make is offensive PI (especially with that rake at the end). However, immediately when the ball was released, Cissoko bumped the receiver before finding the ball. I don't think it's worth calling and I think a defender like Warren is able to be more subtle about this where it's never called, but I wouldn't label it the "world's worst PI". Maybe I'm completely wrong. Maybe it's OK to slow down and bump a guy when you're running in front of him, but I don't think so.
I could be wrong, but I thought I remember seeing that specific angle on the ABC broadcast while the play was being reviewed. That was actually the angle where he looked _less_ out of bounds. This shot made the ABC crew think that maybe there's not enough evidence to overturn it. So, WNDU is full of crap. Maybe I just dreamed all of that, I'll have to watch it again.
I don't know if anyone has commented this or maybe it's even fixed, but the video links are off by one. I think it starts with the first interception video being linked in a later play, but I could be wrong...
I don't know how anyone finds the time to do all this in such amazing detail, great job Brian!
How could you list all the blown Notre Dame hires and not mention George O'Leary! It's not that George is a bad coach, it's just that the actions surrounding his hiring/firing was classic, overly proud, out of touch Notre Dame.

... and both were suspended with pay.
Volume was low. But now as low as the referees' ability to call a fair game.

"Unbalanced iconsistancy"
Not at all suprising, but MSU was glaringly offsides and no flag was thrown.
