Then how do you order lunch?

1 year 25 weeks ago Referee's ass would be in

Referee's ass would be in way. There's a ref standing on the goal line at each sideline. Where would you put the camera?

Replay wil never be perfect. That said, the only correct call here is inconclusive video evidence. Crappy call.

1 year 25 weeks ago The tax code is clearer

The tax code is clearer fergodsake!

FYI, Boston Globe (behind a pay wall or I'd link it) had a column Saturday claiming that some conference commish's, including the B1G's, are looking at taking the BCS down to just the championship game and going old school with all the other bowls; let the bowls take whoever they want. No AQ. Nothing. Just pick 1 and 2 for the title.

1 year 25 weeks ago Back to the future. That was

Back to the future. That was a student section yesterday. "Beat Ohio" is a bit PC. Another four letter word rhymes better with Bucks, but that's probably too old school for today.

And the goalposts are still standing.

But, practice will make perfect.

1 year 25 weeks ago I stopped caring what these

I stopped caring what these asshats have to say when Woody was still coaching Mismi. So lying, cheating, tearing down banners, and punching guys in the throat are good things?!?!

Oh, I don't give a damn about the whole state of Ohio, the whole state of Ohiio.....

That's a game worn jersey I'd buy.

1 year 26 weeks ago This year WE go for two

Fuck the Bicks. The War is on!

If there was ever a year to crush the Nuts, it's this year. I want them to endure a long cold winter, defeated and despised. Tormented by the reality that they are without souls, and an embarassment to the entire conference.

I will dream this week of Bo's first year, the year the first war began. When that team, and that coach, showed that Michigan was back. And so began 40 years of success.

I will dream of '78. Of being the skinny guy in the oversized coat smuggling the beer into Ohio Stadium. And celebrating on their field after the game. Even attacking a goalpost, much to the chagrin of well armed Columbus police officer. And a big horse.

I will dream of North End Zone. And friends for life.

I will say I have more respect and admiration for this year's seniors than any other class. Especially on defense. After the last 3-4 years, of being scorned and ridiculed, these guys endured and restored the pride and the program. They may not leave wearing rings, but they are Michigan Men.

Go Blue! Fuck the Bucks!

1 year 32 weeks ago Meh. If we take care of

Meh. If we take care of business we're fine.

This is a chance to break the prison team's back. To put a hurt on them that it will take years to get over. They get beat week after week, then we destroy them on the last game, I'm a very happy man. I want to watch them crawl out of the Big House, humilated and bowl-less; then get hammered by the NCAA.

Would serve them, and their corrupt administration, right.

1 year 32 weeks ago This is the problem with

This is the problem with making judgements based on a probability or a correlation based on just one variable. There's a difference between "usually" or "probably" and always.

There is no always in sports. Nothing works all the time.

What impresses me with this team and this coaching staff is their ability to adapt and adjust. RR and staff failed the Darwin test; they couldn't adapt and adjust. Couldn't adapt his system to fit the talent he actually had. Couldn't adjust in game to how the game was going.

1 year 32 weeks ago Schadenfreude. Usually I root

Schadenfreude. Usually I root for OSU to be unbeaten, along with us of course, going into the game. But not this year. I want them crawling into the big house battered and bloody; with no hope of a bowl game. Then Denard and the Death Eaters can suck the soul out of them.

They are a disgrace to the conference. Best prison team outside the SEC.

1 year 32 weeks ago Better this than being crappy

Better this than being crappy finishers. Making adjustments is a sign of a very good coaching staff. And a sign of a team with talents and smarts to understand and make the adjustments. Also a sign of a team that respects its coaches.

True story. A friend of mine proposed to his, now, wife at the Slippery Rock game. Why, I have no idea. But she did say "yes", they're still together and have three kids at UM.

As I recall, that game was meant as a replacement fo Band Day. Let UM sell those seats the high school bandies took up a regular game. Don't remember the attendance but thought it was ok, 30 k? Anybody know.

Any way. Good idea. Seems we could use the Big House more than we do.

1 year 34 weeks ago Wrong war, wrong king

Ummmm.............

The original Cavaliers were the supporters of King Charles I, not George III. And it was the English Civil War. Since Charles was beheaded, it is still an historically lame nickname.

When an engineer corrects your history....

Wiki.That's all I'm saying.

1 year 34 weeks ago Only the bottom line matters,

Only the bottom line matters, and we're 4-0. The statistics are important, but mostly in blogs, bars, and fantasy leagues. Luck and the human factor are important factors in every sport, and we can never analyze or replay that away. Ask Toledo, and thousands of other teams " jobbed" by bad refs or luck.

Shit happens. I'd rather be the worst unbeaten team than the best winless team.

My sample size is small. In Boston Michigan rarely gets televised except on BTN, and life sometimes keeps me away from the couch. I get to one game a year. Last year it was the Illinois game.

But this defense looks better than they have for quite awhile. They seem less confused than last year. More players seem to know where they're supposed to be, and what to do when they get there. The scheme fits the players better, or they fit it better. Whatever, it's working.

As long as this defense gives up fewer points than Denard can score, I am happy. Concerned, maybe, but happy.
