Impressive players

Saw these two play in the Ohio Division II championship game last week.  Smith was by far the more impressive player - and someone we could certainly use.  Smith consistently was in the right spot on the defensive side of the ball - provided help in coverage and was outstanding and deceptive in the return game.  Lattimore had good speed, despite the snow on the field, and shut down his side of the field on the defensive side of the ball.

Right there with him

Thought it was a good call.  They'd been having success with the quick, short routes.  Ohio defended the play well - I think Brady made the right call.

Hand goes with only team that wins today???

Let's hope that's not the theory Hand uses to choose his college.  Can't say I agree with the post below that our defense played well - our defense hasn't stopped anyone when it's really mattered since September.

Unacceptable

Not sure how much coaching has taken place - or been ingrained within the team.  Most college teams get better week to week - very untrue with Michigan - which goes back directly to coaching.  Gardner - who looked competent at the beginning of the year - now looks skittish.  Fitz is useless - can't block and can't run forward unless completely the field is completely clear for him.  Line does us no favors, but when my 8 year old twins can predict the plays - it's a really bad sign.

Seriously

How in god's name does it help with anyone in the future?  Seriously.  He's confused the hell out of a Gardner who used to be able to improvise with some success.  He continues to get Fitz in the game - who can't block his way out of a paperbag nor can he run forward with any velocity.  His playcalling is so predictable that my 8 year old twins can predict the run plays or pass plays.  So, once again, what's the point in keeping him around?

Devin needs to take a rest

Honestly.  Devin's first reaction when pressure comes is to panic.  Used to be he'd run, now he hesitates.  For that reason, he needs to sit next week, right along side Fitz.

Blitz pickup

with as bad as Fitz is in blitz pickup, why is he playing - he's been bulled over three times in 6 plays?  why not give DG some reps?

Legends program part of lawsuit mitigation?

Could Brandon in reality be a genius?  Could it be that part of the reason for the Legends program is to mitigate any future damages associated with the suit against the NCAA, and individual institutions, by preventing any current individual player being associated with a particular number?

You're kidding, right??  Fitz

You're kidding, right??  Fitz looked tentative and ran as if he was trying to avoid getting hurt.  All of the RBs need to do a better job of hitting the holes and less dancing.
