Seth can ramble. I’m also a big Seth fan. Thank you Seth for what you do. I’m glad you are here and not on some bullshit site doing a take on 25 different football teams you couldn’t possibly know anything about….that’s mostly what’s out there.

how many “experts” don’t even watch a team play but spend an hour on a podcast pretending they do.

It would also be boring if people just sat there and agreed with each other constantly.

My father was diagnosed with multiple myeloma a few years back. I think I’ve felt every emotion there is through this process

We watched a few games from the hospital while he was undergoing his stem cell transplant. It was not lost on me how the love of Michigan Football was able to raise his spirit in such tough times. I’m thankful for that.

I don’t know if life is a game of inches or just a handful of big highlight plays. I do know that sports has a power to bring people together. No matter how trivial the games may seem at times or how much we anguish over the losses, I’m thankful for being a life long Michigan fan and I can’t wait for tomorrow.

I hope your father’s treatments are as successful as possible.

Agreed but you are opening

Agreed but you are opening the flood gates of craziness. It would be entertaining though.

What if Rashan Gary gets

What if Rashan Gary gets $250,000 to sign an autograph to go to Michigan over Clemson. Does that still work in this model or are their limits. If there are limits there are bag men under the table filling the gap.

I'm still for this model but there will either be limits and bag men or no limits and a complete free for all with boosters buying influence in the free market. The latter would get ridiculous.

It would be very difficult to police limiations put on selling players likeness.

yeah it is far too

yeah it is far too complicated to lump people into a few bins and for the vast majority of us it has nothing to do with what our rivals are doing. I think most people would like to see a system that makes sense for the kids but title IX plays a big role ulimately on what can be done. Any arguement that says solve this all by paying the kids their worth is wildly incomplete and naive.

Olympic Style will have major implications for recruiting that would be wildly entertaining but i'm not sure ultimately good for the sport. If Rashan Gary was deciding between Clemson and Michigan, and could sell his likeness or signature I could just imagine how that would have gone down.

I think it is possible for I think it is possible for this to be both a complete overreaction and completely inappropriate at the same time. If he didn't run from the cops this is a misdemeanor.

One thing I have noticed. I'm far more rational about football. Losses do not hurt much when the other team just outplayed my team. There are other situations though....

Life keeps you busy, I just

Life keeps you busy, I just don't have the time to keep up with it all anymore.

With that said, I really do enjoy how sports brings family and friends together. Friends I haven't seen in many years are a part of a regualr text chain on game day. Michigan Football creates a lifelong bond.

Michigan Football also can be a momentary distraction from hardships we all must go through. I watched the Michigan Wisconsin game at hosiptal with my father while he was getting his cancer treatement. It is not an easy process on him but that game, the look on his face when Lewis intercepted that pass, it was priceless. It matters.

From the spring game video he From the spring game video he looks to have accuracy. He also threw to his primary guy on every pass. It is the nature of spring games of course. You don't need to be flashy to be good. Boring is fine with me, just find the open guy. Move the chains. Be smart. He has a so many weapons at his disposal.

IMO, DJ Wilson is a 4 that wants to play like a 3. I'd be shocked if he ever becomes that guy.

The fact that he still is our

The fact that he still is our top scorer at the rim this point in the season is a shock. Anyone watching would understand that Caris is our best player at creating his own shot but he has missed way too many games to still lead the team in this category.

My biggest question is how much will Caris help on D? They have now fallen to a Ken Pom 170 ranking on D. It is hard enough to be in the 80-90 range and try to just outscore other teams over and over. They have had teams that figured out how to do it. However, once a team is close to a 200 ranking it becomes an obstacle that is entirely too difficult to overcome.

With Caris our D was ranked a lot higher, but I don't know how much of that was attributed to the non-conference schedule and how much was actually his defensive skills. My guess is that Caris is a lot better at defense than he gets credit for. He can't neutralize man-beasts at the 5 but he can do a ton against everyone else.

Help us Caris, you are our only hope.

I like J Clark turning into a

I like J Clark turning into a beast next year at CB. The kid can play. He was in solid position on practicly every ball thrown his way. A few WRs made ridiculous plays on him and that happens. I think he even moved over from safety and was learning his way through the first half of last year.

Lewis and Clark...has a nice ring to it.

I don't think it matters too much who will be the starting D Linemen. They can roll two deep at most positions. At least I hope they do. They have so much talent and expereince on that line.

Clark

I think Clark will be great player next year, he was solid this past year too. Certainly is the #2 CB on the team.

Last summer when Michigan was

Last summer when Michigan was handing out offers to under the radar kids plenty of fans were questioning it. For months now many have questioned how there is going to be enough spots on this roster with so many promising high caliber targets.

For the most part those fans were told, don't worry Jim Harbaugh has a plan. Michigan won't resort to those recruiting tactics like moving on from kids that have committed.

On January 26th it has become clear that he should have picked up the damn phone. So  those questioning this all along had legit concerns.

Communication is certainly the key to all of this and Michigan hasn't had their chance to tell their side of it. However, I HIGHLY doubt they will even comment on this.

or USC in lieu of UCLA in the

or USC in lieu of UCLA in the above senerio....same thing.

I don't think it is as complicated as that

While I agree it is not likely, I belive this is the road to the playoffs: Michigan wins out, OSU beats MSU, Stanford beats ND and UCLA beats Stanford in the Pac 12 Title game (obviously if UCLA got there they would have beaten Utah in the process). If that happens the Pac 12 Champ and Big 10 champ would be UCLA and Michigan, both with 2 losses. Michigan gets in over UCLA but barely. The rest doesn't matter. The SEC, ACC and Big 12 will certainly get one team in. The committee is not going to put in a 1 loss team that didn't win their conference over a 2 loss Michigan team that just won the Big 10 and beat undefeated OSU and Iowa in the process.
