Flip side is just as crazy. About 300 plays? No wonder the offense has struggled. I’m assuming that is counting the same play out of a slightly different formation as it’s own individual play, which ok, but wow.
Those weren’t tough. They were from 3 feet out over a shorter player. Zavier played as expected. Good, solid defense. 4/9 of those misses for Brunson were open or relatively open 3’s. Sound familiar? Shooting slumps happen to everyone.
To use the word “crush” about an opposing player to me means the same as dominate. And I don’t see it. That means leading pretty much every statistical category and drain your opponent mentally and physically. Can’t do that when Brunson played like 8 minutes,if that, in the second half and the rest of the time on the bench cheering on his team and soaking in a national player of the year and national championship with 10 minutes left in the game.
Fair points. When I say it didn’t kill our chances I mean we were down 4 or 5 with like 3 minutes left in the first half. If I remember correctly, at that point in the game it could be summarized as a great start, some bad calls, a Nova run (with a couple more bad calls), and then it balanced out more. That lead swelled to 9 at halftime. And then the second half happened. I think they had more fouls than Michigan in the second half, but that doesn’t matter.
I don’t think the game was officiated well. Duncan getting autobenched really hurt. I like Livers potential and I know why he’s getting time but he has yet to show much on offense. He’s a good enough shooter they just haven’t gone in for him.
This was a defensive team but in this offense guys need to knock down the open threes. With Livers and Simpson on the floor together for that period of time things just looked more stagnant than usual because neither wanted to shoot. Basically it was up to Wagner, MAAR, and Matthews.
Great season, great team, just didn’t happen for us in a game 90% of people they’re really being honest did not think they would make it to.I look forward to next season though. It’s hard to dwell on a game when the score differential ended up being 17.
Right, How much of the second half was Brunson even in the game? Taken out for foul trouble and didn’t get back in the game because guess what.... they didn’t need him. He forced things early on. Then his team showed him they didn’t need him to.
Simpson can’t hit a free throw. He is a deer in the headlights when shooting a wide open 3. Simpson had 3 turnovers, 2 assists, 1 steal. Brunson had 2 turnovers, 2 assists, 2 steals. Show me the crushing stat???
Don’t get me wrong, I like Simpson as the point guard on this team. I like his scoop layups and defense. I like his attitude. He just needs to continue to work. I just think it’s hilarious how people on this cult site were fawning over Brunson during his recruitment and now they talk shit about the guy because he chose a different school. It
happens in football all the time.
Congrats Mr. Brunson and Villanova. Wish Michigan won but they didn’t. Talk about the refs all you want but they didn’t kill our chances. It was that kid taking whatever shot he wanted whenever he wanted it.
I assume it ended to do their buddy Steve a favor so people would buy subscriptions to 247. They got really watered down and stale towards the end. Same shit every week. Thereused to be interviews and actual substance. Then it turned to a recruitingplanet.com link fest. Man I wish TomVH was still around. Hold me.
In his freshman year I believe, someone asked him what he wanted to do after football. He said his goal was to be head coach at Michigan someday. Sure enough after his playing days he got into coaching. Really it’s all about rooting for him to succeed and maybe just maybe he will reach his goal someday.
It was meant as an indirect (yet pretty direct) jab. I’m just saying don’t judge people over marijuana like it’s heroin. Opiates are the real enemy. I’m also not advocating alcohol and tobacco should be illegal. I like my alcohol on occasion. People can do what they like.
I agree with you to an extant but “the people with money who know how to keep their profit” thing is where I don’t agree. That’s why Ohio’s attempt at legalizing backfired because they “inadvertently” monopolized the bill to where only certain people could do certain things. That defeats the purpose of legalization, it’s just another dealer who can do whatever they want and you can’t even get a sliver of the pie. More money for the wealthy where they can pay shitty wages to their workers.
I’m not into all the legal bullshit and it’s not gonna deter me from living my life. But people are such hypocrites.
Why aren’t alcohol and tobacco illegal? People can keep their shitty beer they convince themselves is good, keep their liquor that will ruin their liver, keep smoking cigarettes until there lungs look like a burnt, dry, shriveled chicken breast injected with rat poison and other chemicals, I’ll stick with my naturally grown god given marijuana...and my run-on grammatically incorrect sentences. Sorry Michigan standard.
Cigarette smokers, you smell bad.
Alcoholics, you smell bad.
Me, I probably do too, but I don’t tell you what to do
Oh there was a game plan. It was run the ball constantly while it’s not raining and get down on the scoreboard. Then when the rain came it was desperation pass time. They’ll never expect it.
There was no excuse we all knew at some point it was going to be pretty wet. These nfl coaches sure can game plan.

The same DTR that started the year backing Speight up? Playing for College Chip Kelly too.
Might want to hold off on buying those tickets, chief.
Yeah ok Tom Crean.
Maybe not just as crazy but it seems like overkill to me. Not that my opinion matters.
