Linky.

Details aren't out yet, but likely a two-way deal.

Great for X!  He's one of my favorite Wolverines with his pluck and grit and the improvement he made as a scorer and floor general.

This is really exciting. The Pistons will contend for a playoff spot this year.

I expect Duren, Wiseman, Ivey and Cunningham all to take huge steps forward.

It's going to be fun with Livers and the mix and perhaps getting a chance to see Z get in the mix occasionally. I'm stoked for this season

You can see some flashes of what he was supposed to be: a really athletic 7 footer who has a good inside scoring game and the raw athleticism to be an impact guy on defense. The thing that he really struggles with is the mental side. A lot of the time he's lost out there, especially on defense.

The Warriors were too good to give him many minutes. Luckily the Pistons don't have that problem. Even with the crowded front court I can see them giving him enough time to start to figure things out.

The Pistons subreddit is a dumpster fire of bad takes from teenagers, and they have a very negative view of Wiseman because it's easy, low hanging fruit to dunk on a second overall pick who doesn't become an immediate all-star.

That being said, he is very limited, but he was (and is) still worth the flier the Pistons front office took on him. He was the second overall pick for a reason, and even if he only reaches half the potential NBA scouts saw, he will be a regular rotational piece on a competing NBA squad, which is something 75% of all draft picks don't pan out to be. At this point, it's likely he never becomes the dominant big many suspected, but he was worth the risk on a team built to tank anyway. Best case scenario, he blossoms and becomes a key role player, maybe even a decent starter (but likely not.) Worst case scenario, he's traded or simply doesn't have his contract renewed after this season.

For a team not contending, that's well worth the asking price. Plus his $12-milliom salary (for one more year) is now an absolute bargain with how the NBA salary cap has completely ballooned the past five years.
