Need advice! I have been to at least 60 games at the Big House but I have never been to Yost. My son and I are going on the 27th. I need some parking info please. Where to park and how much etc.....  Thanks!

Usually plenty of parking spaces at the corner of Stadium and State in the little neighborhood there. South side of Stadium. Free parking on the curb.

if you don't mind walking a bit I can almost always find parking in the triangle made up by State, Packard, and Stadium. I've never paid to park at Yost, but I've also only gone ~5 times where I drove (the rest were as a student or staying close enough by with friends)

Provided there isn't a men's basketball game going on, you can park in the Crisler lot for free and walk along the path between the practice field and the baseball/softball complex. Easy out onto Stadium to get back home.

Don't pay...park on a side street, walk 5-10 minutes and get there early. Take a walk to the offices area (south end of stadium) and check out all the pictures of past teams. I do it every time I'm there

Wife got me hockey tickets for Christmas. We went to a game early January. Parked for free in the neighborhood one block east of Yost. It was a -15 degree day and had a very short walk. We also saw the basketball game that day and the walk from Crisler to Yost is brutal in the cold.
It was my first hockey and basketball games and was a great experience.

If you want to make a nice evening of it, park in the parking garage next to Scorekeeper's, grab a bite to eat on Liberty or University, and take a nice walk down State to the arena.  Like others have suggested, get there early and take in the cool history displays they have by the entrance.  Also, brush up on your cheers/chants before going, it makes it more enjoyable:

Parking at Crisler is usually free if there isn't a men's hoops game going on at the same time as the hockey game.  Just park in the east lot (nearest the football practice field) and then it's about a 5 minutes walk from there.  Just follow the hockey jerseys.

If you want to take in some campus life before the game, the B-School parking garage is open at night and it's usually free as well.  Walk to Yost is closer to 10 minutes from there, but you're more centrally located to other restaurants, bars, etc.
