Wrestling Getting It Done
With the Wolverines fantastic run on the football recruiting trail. don't overlook the incredible class being accumulated by Coach Bormet in the wrestling program. Intermat has this 8 man class rated as the #2 class with champions at multiple weight classes. This is on top of the 4 transfers already added earlier.
At the risk of being a homer, I am seeing a possible natty in our Maize and Blue Wrestling future!
Leaders and Best.
Who was the number one? I also saw that women's tennis brought in a transfer from Vanderbilt. This may make them the preseason number one team next year.
Penn State. IIRC they have 5 of the top 10 overall recruits
Unfortunately will still be near impossible to beat PSU even if this class exceeds expectations as PSU has landed 5 of the top 9 overall recruits. But this is great to see
fuck psu and all their joepa-loving delusional fans!!!
And field goal Franklin too
Cael is the anti Joe Paterno.
Penn State is a problem. They have built an absolute dynasty.
These guys who win 4 state championships are insane. I was on a state championship team with a 3x and a 2x state champ and they were crazy good.
These classes won’t get them past PSU’s talent development, recruiting, and clear psychological advantage based on how Cael teaches them to be so loose in huge moments. I hope it does, but don’t hold your breath. Love what Bormet is building!!!
We're #2!?
I hate to say it, but Michigan will not perform in the top 2 in this conference. I’m a fan of Michigan wrestling, but they are disappointing against top-tier talent. They got absolutely smoked by Iowa and Penn State this year.
Won't catch PSU but definitely a real contender for 2nd in conference/nation on a yealry basis if they keep the talent coming in like this
It's almost like Iowa and Pennsylvania/Jersey are factories for great grappling. Even some of the best BJJ guys are from Jersey (Gordon Ryan, Nicky Rod, Mikey Musumeci, Gianni Grippo...).
