From MGoBlue.com:

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Senior guard Veronica Hicks (Chicago, Ill./Thornwood) and junior guard/forward Carmen Reynolds (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) each tallied 17 points to help the University of Michigan women's basketball team snap a 14-game losing streak to rival Ohio State with a 64-51 win on Thursday (Dec. 30) at Crisler Arena. The triumph is U-M's first over the Buckeyes since the 2001 season and marks Michigan's second consecutive win in its Big Ten opener.

Michigan hadn't beaten OSU in women's hoops since 2001.  It was good to see - OSU was frustrated and lost their compsure a few times during the game.  A more talented team was beaten by one that played together and overcame adversity (including the loss of one of their starters, Nya Jordan). Congrats to the lady wolverines.

55-68 on 22Dec seems to have given them a great boost!  Their play through the season has been a bit inconsistant, but when they crank up the D, they generally win.  Kate Thompson chipped in 16 from the bench, including 3 for 3 beyond the arc about midway through the 1st half to push the M lead up to a point the Buckeyes couldn't catch.  The 16 are her personal best!
