After losing a big lead in the 4th, the team survives.

Naz Hillmon is a legend in the making. 35 points and 22! boards.

If you aren’t yet watching, you are missing out.

Leigha Brown was out due to Covid protocol.  I listened on radio.  The game was a trip back to years past.  If it weren't for Naz we would have blown out.  She had 35 of the 64 points and 22 rebounds but she did have 6 turnovers.  Dilk was 3 of 15, Johnson 3 of 16 and Hailey Brown 3 of 13.  No one else had points from the field.  FT% only 54.2% for the team.  15% from 3.  15 turnovers.

After building a 60-49 lead with 4:29, Nebraska went on a 9-0 run and came close to another epic KBA collapse.  Bailed out by an offensive rebound by Naz.

Let's hope we can chalk this up to Covid and we can get/stay healthy.

Now it's time to watch the penultimate episode of Alex Trebek.

That's what CBS originally had planned, to time everything so that what turned out to be Trebeks last episode would be shown on Christmas Day. For anyone who watched tonight as I did, he ended the episode broadcast tonight with a spoken reference to Christmas "tomorrow".

When these last few weeks of episodes were taped, no one knew how close Alex was to the end as he continued to fight through it.

Anyway, at some point in December, CBS made a decision to stretch things out and instead showed a couple weeks of older episode reruns, and then finally present what we're now seeing. To me, it's "can't miss" TV just like the final episodes of " M*A*S*H, Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and Teletubbies.

I'm likely to shed a tear or two tomorrow evening.

(By the way, that "2-second tribute" isn't quite that short or irreverent. They've been ending Jeopardy!  with it ever since his passing.)

I know the NY Times is paywalled so likely not everyone will be able to click and read my linked article, but Johnny Gilbert, the 92-year old "voice behind the curtain" doing Alex's nightly intro has taped a special introduction to tomorrow night's final show.  Johnny has been with Trebek for 36 years.

Like I said a short while ago, must-see TV for Jeopardy! fans.

Michigan came into tonight’s game with the best shooting percentage in the country at 53.9%. Had a stunningly bad game shooting 32.4% and missing 12 free throws. But, hey, still undefeated. Win and move on.
