Several years ago I saw a gymnastics meet for the first time. Seeing it in person is different than watching it on TV, in that you get a better perspective on how fast they're moving, and how high some of the apparatuses are. I came away with a strong conclusion that gymnasts, male and female, are fearless and ferocious little balls of muscle, and they've got the attitude that says, "Eh, I've fallen so many times - what's once more?" Either that, or they're just plain nuts.

We really need to give the Gymnastics programs (men and women) a whole lot more credit than we do. They have been outstanding and have built juggernaut programs.

Another great achievement for the women's gymnastic team! What blows me away the most is Coach Plocki has won the most Big Ten Championships of any coach in any sport in conference history. TWENTY FIVE!
