Wisconsin WR Danny Davis suspended 2 games
This follows the report that he may have taken photos of suspended teammate Quintez Ceephus' alleged sexual assaults. If he did do that and this is his punishment, it looks like Paul Chryst is the new morally corrupt B1G coach, following the Dantonio school of punishment.

Whoops, posted to the wrong thread. We need some facts here.

Wow - he has to miss Western KY and New Mexico. Gets to shake the rust off against BYU before Iowa the next week.
Dantonio definitely agrees with that punishment. Heck for risk of injury reasons, that might actually benefit Wsiconsin if their other receiver really misses the entire season as they shouldn't even have to throw over the first 3 games.

The best part: he is still with the team and allowed to practice during the suspension. He probably would have played a quarter or 1st half max in those two cupcake games.

On mobile so can't post it but in the official statement Chryst said the suspension may increase in length depending on the investigation/any new info coming to light.

Then an indefinite suspension would have been the better approach.

Let me guess. Unless he is charged, Wisconsin will never speak on it again.
Wisconsin PR killing it this week. Quintez Cephus drops his own statement and takes a leave before anyone can report on the charges he is facing and lets the AD avoid having to suspend him. Now they drop the Davis suspension in the middle of the Urban Meyer deliberations. Those dudes deserve a raise.

I don't know enough about the former situation to comment, but the latter just seems like a timely response and unfortunate that it's in the midst of all this urban meyer stuff. The Danny Davis story came out, what, 2 days ago? This is practically lightspeed compared to what we've been seeing at msu and osu.

Yes, well, so far he is only connected to the Cephus case by association not by actual accounting of a police report and review from the prosecutor's office. This seems like a reasonable response until there is actual evidence linking Davis to anything more than bystander status in taking photos of Cephus with the alleged sexual assault victims, who were drunk at the time.
The question is what was the condition of the players at the time of the incident, in April, likely outside of season but still an issue about their conduct as it relates to team rules.

He hasn’t played in a game since last season. That should count as time served.

Lol, thank you

I actually liked him better when he was a shady WWF referee.
