Wisconsin vs. PSU MBB Postponed

Wisconsin @ Penn State is the first game of the Big Ten season to be postponed, likely due to something COVID-19 related, though neither school is being explicit about it. The game was scheduled to tip today, 1/3, at 12PM EST, but the schools made the mutual decision to postpone on Saturday; the Badgers never made it to Pennsylvania, they were scheduled to depart at 4PM CT yesterday. It has not been rescheduled yet, but the schools stated they will work with the Big Ten to try to play the game.

This is of particular relevance to Michigan because we're scheduled to play Penn State in State College in 6 days and Wisconsin in Ann Arbor in 9 days, both within the Big Ten's quarantine window if there were any positive tests.

Based on the limited information out there, it seems more likely this is something related to PSU given Wisconsin explicitly stated they are planning to practice tomorrow and host Indiana on Thursday (PSU has not said when they will start practice again).

Penn State has one game scheduled before they're slated to host us on Saturday (1/9), a Wednesday (1/6) game at Ohio State.

Here's hoping that this is simply out of an abundance of caution (maybe there was an exposure without an actual positive test yet?) and that if anyone in either program tested positive they recover as soon as possible!

Last night, between games, the B1G network reported it was on the PSU side but there were no confirmed cases. The teams mutually agreed to postpone out of an abundance of caution.
