Quote:

DESTIN, Fla. -- The new working plan for Wisconsin and LSU: To play in Houston's Reliant Stadium in 2014, Green Bay's Lambeau Field some time between 2016-18, according to LSU athletics director Joe Alleva.

Nothing is finalized but a deal is close, per Alleva. The likeliest year for the Lambeau game is 2017.

Until you've seen Wisconsin's 2002-2012 schedules ;)

No in all seriousness thank you - this playoff system with strength of schedule mattering looks like it is going to bring us some fun non conference matchups that have slowly faded from the national scene during the BCS era.  I am all for it but like other posters said would have loved to see a home and home - those are 2 great schools for atmosphere.

I think it's great to see good SEC teams and good Big Ten teams play. I like home-and-home, but Lambeau Field is a pretty cool idea.

Good for both schools scheduling a real out of conference opponent. I would love to go to a Michigan Wisconsin game at Lambeau. That place is special. Much like our very own Big House.

Was Barry Alvarez drunk when he agreed to this? Wisconsin actually playing a real live non-tomato can team in the non-conference schedule?!? Say it ain't so, Barry!

Wisconsin playing somebody with a pulse in non-conference play? Surely this is some kind of joke. Or maybe that combined .325 winning percentage their non-conference opponents have in the last 20 years finally woke them up.

This is cool but it would be better if it were an actual home and home. Experiencing different campuses is one of the best things about going to an away CFB game. If people want to see Lambeau they can just go to a Packers game.

Why don't they just do home and home games? I don't get it, if both teams travel that distance is it really that much to just play in Baton Rouge and Camp Randel? I like the scheduling, but just play them at home and I hope Wisconsin can get them up here in october or november, not Labor Day weekend when it is still warm.

Don't look now, but Wisconsin has beefed up their OOC schedules.

2015:  Alabama, Wazzu

2016:  @ Va Tech

2017:  @ BYU, Va Tech, @ USF, plus LSU??

2018-2019:  Home-and-home with Washington
