Cruel fate. Hope he's okay long term.

That poor guy. What a shame.

Kid can’t catch a break. Hope he’s alright.

Guy cannot catch a break.
It looked like "can buy an extra second in the pocket via magic" Speight was back.
OTOH, it also looked like "use that extra second to hang onto the ball and take a sack" Speight was back too...

Everybody saw the highlights! They showed it on NBC

Sorry to hear this. Wilton is a good dude. God speed young man.

Hopefully, it's not too serious. He has not really been able to catch much of a break, and I cannot imagine how it feels to be named the starter and then go down to a back injury....twice, in his case. You can tell he wants to compete.

The young man needs to hang up his cleats before he breaks his neck. The rest of your life is more important than football.

This thread title is trash.

Sometimes people bitch too much about posts, but I agree. How hard is it to type "Speight out of game with injury"?

Sorry you see Wilton Speight as trash.
(I happen to have been quite drunk at the time of the post & figured most saw that he was out during the halftime update. Thought this would be more of a general thing for his injury & likelihood that he's done, but yeah... I suck completely. 1st post in probably 2 or 3 years. If I ever make one again I will write a doctoral thesis in the title & put one word in the body, as that seems to be the thing now.)

Damn I was rooting for him. I hope he gets better quickly.
