Will Hagerup to Choose in Next Month

Submitted by GBOD79 on
Will Hagerup, the top punter in the nation, will likely decide which college to attend within the month. Espn.com states: Before he announces, Hagerup would like the further investigate Ohio State and Michigan, "I'm going to visit Ohio State and Michigan for sure within a couple weeks. I'm going to see practices at both places and take another tour at each school." Maybe we are looking at the replacement for Zoltan Mesko. Although Will has a much less interesting name, this could be a key pick up for us.

To replace the former number one punter recruit with the current one. Hopefully the space emporer can pass on his crown to a talented, albeit awesome name deficient, prince.

I wonder how long the coaches are willing to wait on him? There was that Mike Sadler guy who was practically saying he would commit if he was given a scholarship. The longer we wait on Hangerup the more likely Sadler might move on to choice B (MSU in this case I think).

From a recent interview:
"I have spoken with both of them (Michigan State and Purdue) in the last two days he said. I have not heard anything from Michigan; they are waiting on Hagerup to make a decision."
http://sectionsports.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=967345 Whether he'd commit on the spot, that is the rumor. Or it was as of a month or so ago. WHo knows, maybe the wait has soured him on committing on the spot.

I have always called for the respect of these guys. I hate it when people criticize them unfairly under the anonymous veil of the internet. So I would never think to criticize Will Hagerup for his boring name. But, why, God, would you give us Zoltan Mesko for five years and not follow it up with Ragnarok Bonemeal or Maxwell Explosion or Steve?

With the money that Lord Zoltan will make from taking over the business world after declining being the first overall pick for the NFL draft next year, maybe he'll make a scholarship associated with the number 41 jersey. The only question is, who would ever be worthy of wearing it?
