Will Hagerup to Choose in Next Month
Will Hagerup, the top punter in the nation, will likely decide which college to attend within the month. Espn.com states:
Before he announces, Hagerup would like the further investigate Ohio State and Michigan, "I'm going to visit Ohio State and Michigan for sure within a couple weeks. I'm going to see practices at both places and take another tour at each school."
Maybe we are looking at the replacement for Zoltan Mesko. Although Will has a much less interesting name, this could be a key pick up for us.
is a perfect name for a punter!
not nearly as perfect as Zoltan Mesko. We have perhaps, the most intimidating punter in Football.
Especially when he high steps along the sidelines after 4th down conversions.
may have been my favorite play from all of last season. It is plays like that that make DVR so amazing.
I would be unsurprised to see him break a 70-yard touchdown run this year. Only adds to his legend.
...then double front flips into the endzone.
one of our generals over in Iraq was named Zoltan Mesko. The name instills power and confidence.
Perhaps when he graduates he'll take over for the ground forces in Iraq. That way he will be able to inspire the troops around him from the battlefront.
send a space fleet of intergalactic commandos.(from space) A ground war is for the likes of us primatives.
To replace the former number one punter recruit with the current one. Hopefully the space emporer can pass on his crown to a talented, albeit awesome name deficient, prince.
Is his list down to tOSU and UM or does he have interest in other schools?
I say let him wear the number 41 jersey.
great idea.
hopefully we can fumble less and punt more.
I agree with you about less fumbles, but I'm also hoping we punt less.
Why would you hope we punt more? That would mean we wouldn't score much. We punted way too much last year.
I'd rather punt then fumble. Just saying just saying.
fifteen replies about a punter. Oh Lord, please send September 5 soon!
I wonder how long the coaches are willing to wait on him? There was that Mike Sadler guy who was practically saying he would commit if he was given a scholarship. The longer we wait on Hangerup the more likely Sadler might move on to choice B (MSU in this case I think).
The coaches told Sadler that if Hagerup does not commit he gets the offer and more than likely will commit.
He is just waiting and to see what happens.
Is that valid information or a guess?
I think they are both great punters and we'd be happy with either, I just hate making a good kid wait for a somewhat minimal gain.
From a recent interview:
"I have spoken with both of them (Michigan State and Purdue) in the last two days he said. I have not heard anything from Michigan; they are waiting on Hagerup to make a decision."http://sectionsports.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=967345 Whether he'd commit on the spot, that is the rumor. Or it was as of a month or so ago. WHo knows, maybe the wait has soured him on committing on the spot.
maybe the wait has soured him on committing on the spot. OOOOOOOOOOOR...Maybe it's that girl you told yourself you were done fucking because she ruins your life and you want a new girl. But then..she comes over naked, and you fuck her anyways.
This would represent the proper use of an anology. Very well done sir.
I was just looking at Sadler on rivals and he has a 4.0 GPA and a 32 ACT.
I have always called for the respect of these guys. I hate it when people criticize them unfairly under the anonymous veil of the internet. So I would never think to criticize Will Hagerup for his boring name. But, why, God, would you give us Zoltan Mesko for five years and not follow it up with Ragnarok Bonemeal or Maxwell Explosion or Steve?
Or "God's Power Offer".

Just because he's a DE doesn't mean his name isn't awesome enough to at least let him try to punt.
The punter "U"!
and the #41 can be reserved for legendary punters.
With the money that Lord Zoltan will make from taking over the business world after declining being the first overall pick for the NFL draft next year, maybe he'll make a scholarship associated with the number 41 jersey.
The only question is, who would ever be worthy of wearing it?
