At first I was a supporter of Paulus coming in, but with all this chaos now surrounding the program I no longer feel like it's a good idea. Slightly OT are the two program just that much different or have times just changed that quickly, I don't remember USC going through any of this when Mitch Mustain transferred. I don't remember hearing that Sanchez had any problem or that the program felt any kind of way about the possibility of a 5 star QB coming in with the goal of being a starter.

There is no chaos. Paulus has created this media uprising. The members of the media and this blog postings assumed Rich Rod offered him a scholarship when that has not yet happened. Paulus will have to go in and work for it. The words "offer to compete" are operative here. I think this is all very funny. I also think that if the Internet didn't exist, this would not have been a story.

I don't see how this is good at all. I know that they are kids, but I wish they knew how unprofessional and damaging this is. I'm glad the team has Tate's back but I wish it was shown in a positive way or in this novel approach: in practice and on the field. I wonder if anyone on the staff monitors this stuff? Also, is anyone aware of college team backlashing against a recruit? I'm sure it has but things are quite different in the facebook age.

i'll guess that one was partly for me. i don't see anything wrong with thinking that our freshman can think a little before they post stuff on facebook. they have to know that people look at them all the time especially if you accept friend requests from half of michigans fanbase

This reminds me of the scene in "Miracle" in which the teammates say "We're a family!" so that the coach boots the guy who only recently joined the team.

I like the Miracle analogy better. Adam Banks had always been playing and for a rival team. Michigan and Duke aren't rivals. And Banks technically should have been on the team in the first place In Miracle, the player joined the team shortly before the Olympics. He was not practicing with them, and they had no idea the coach might bring him in. I can't believe I just wasted a few minutes considering this.

Maybe thye joined this group months ago? I didn't click link, but maybe this group was made long time ago. Hell, if I was a star bball player and I didn't like, say... Tim Tebow. Why not join fuck tim tebow group. What are the odds something like this happens?(Paulus to Michigan). What if pryor joined oregon basketball in few yrs? Everyone would like him there again.
