Why Detroit!?
It's the same everywhere you go. Detroit Lions predictions make national headlines because the Lions are so bad and these predictions come across as comical. I'd also bet that the 0-16 Lions are asked much more by the media to make predictions in the first place. It Tom Brady said the Pats were gonna win 12 games next year no one would be that amused. If someone on the lions predicts 6 wins, you got yourself a story.
Mark Schlareth once called Kitna an idiot for predicting the Lions would win 10 games. When Carson Palmer did the very same thing a couple years earlier he called it "a QB showing moxy" and prclaimed that he liked it. So you take what you get from the talking heads.
I hate the word moxie.
I guess that means you'll be avoiding a certain chain of coffee shops if you're ever in Idaho.
